Koha's inventory utility is handy but seems to be missing one critical

Has anyone come up with a streamlined method for using the inventory

For what it's worth, we're not looking to get too fine-grained here.
We're not too concerned with titles out of order, for example, within
an author. We're really looking for authors out of order.
It's not clear to me what you are finding that's out of order. Is it the
books on the shelf or the listing in the catalog? If the books, why is
there a challenge to relocating them?

As for downloading and printing the inventory, I gave up on that and
just read the inventory list on a smartphone. Very portable, and the
updates go live immediately. A tablet would be nicer, but isn't in the
budget.

Mind, if I had barcodes I could scan while walking the aisles, something
more interesting might be in order.
