Re: [Koha] Posting Troubleshooting Questions on Mailing Lists
That's all well and good if you have an account on the server. None of the librarians do. I may, eventually, if I ever finish the online intro to Linux course. Our IT person is understandably reluctant to grant access to people who don't know what they're doing. Perhaps it would be possible to display this info in the About Koha section? Or, if it's there, make it more obvious. What I'm trying to say here is there are going to be people out there running Koha who discover bugs or problems, but who only deal with the front end and don't have access to this information. I'm sure I'm not the only one. . . [Koha] Posting Troubleshooting Questions on Mailing Lists
Hi, I was wondering if we should add a note/paragraph/section on our Mailing Lists page (http://koha-community.org/support/koha-mailing-lists/) requesting users to always mention their Koha version, install method, Linux distribution and version etc when they ask a troubleshooting question. It'll be useful, no? Arslan ___ Koha mailing list http://koha-community.org Koha@lists.katipo.co.nz http://lists.katipo.co.nz/mailman/listinfo/koha

requesting users to always mention their Koha version, install method, Linux distribution and version etc when they ask a troubleshooting question. It probably won't help, but it can't hurt to try. -- Owen -- Web Developer Athens County Public Libraries http://www.myacpl.org ___ Koha mailing list http://koha-community.org Koha@lists.katipo.co.nz http://lists.katipo.co.nz/mailman/listinfo/koha
