[Koha] Koha Upgrade from 3.18 version to 18.05

I have Koha 3.18 version installed using GIT method.
Now I have installed on my test machine 18.05 using ubuntu
package method. Kindly provide me steps to upgrade to the
latest version.  I am using serial and acquisition modules.

Hi

 

I have upgrade my Koha system running on Debian 8.2 from Koha 3.18 to
3.20.07 . Now which checking out a book it is  not displaying the table with
the checkout details such as the due date. Instead, it is displaying the
message

"Loading  .. you may continue scanning" . Any help?

this is a know bug, bug 15431:
http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=15431

You have two option:
1)Wait until next 3.20.x release (next week as I know)

2)Try to fix it with those instructions [from Frédéric DEMIANS]:

- Access your Koha server with shell.

- Locate the file 'checkouts' in your local Koha installation. It is in 
'svc'

  subdirectory of the Koha home directory.

- Change your working directory to the directory containing 'checkouts'.

- Run this command:

  wget -O checkouts http://tinyurl.com/zg6ukte

  It retrieves a valid 'checkouts' program.

We're upgrading to 3.18, but we are not having any luck with getting the Search 
to work.  Found the bit about 941$n=1, but we're not sure what that means and 
where that goes.

We are going to need some more information, how was your Koha
installed? Packages or tarball, how did you do the upgrade? How are
you reindexing? What version did you come from?

I think you will need to look into adding those no standard fields to
the dom files, not just the record.abs file.

Koha 3.18 uses DOM not GRS1 for indexing by default.

I think that is the problem at least.

Is the zebra server running?

try:

sudo service koha-common restart

It's a good easy thing to try first.

It'd also be good to modify Koha so it gives more meaningful information
about why a search is returning no results, right now it will say no
results even if it fails to connect to zebra entirely, which is bad.
