[Koha] adding filed 949 and volume in item interface

hi,
I have the following challenges, can anybody help me out!

1. I have tried to add field 949 to my koha structure, after adding it does not 
reflect, what could be the problem?
2. in my item, there is no field for volume, assuming i have books with the 
following characteristics:  volume 1, copy1, volume 2 copy1, volume 2 copy2, 
how will i enter this information in my item field?

Home › Administration › MARC frameworks › Default framework structure › Tag
949 Subfield structure

Edit subfields - choose the subfield you want to display and check the
Advanced constraints.  Make sure the visibility is set to display where you
want to see it.
If you want it to display in the ISBD you will have to edit that too, but
if it's set up correctly it should display in normal views.
For some reason the default is for it to not display in the editor.

I have been able to resolve the problem of adding field 949.

The second problem is activating sub-field  for volume in item.
What is the sub-field for volume and how do i get it activated in item?

Are you asking - where do you put this information in the item record (Koha
952) ?
We don't use copy numbers in our library, but if we did, I'd use 952
subfield h for the volume number and 952  subfield t for the copy
number.
