The best approach is to first search in bugzilla for existing reported
bugs. For example there's this one:

If you don't find anyone related, please file a bug report detailing how to
reproduce the issue.

Hi Dave,

it's always good to start with filing a bug report on bugzilla. I'd also 
suggest to review the existing bugs for Elasticsearch, to check if your 
problem has already been found and is being worked on. Testing some of 
those bugs would also help a lot!

relating to Elastic:
