Just a performance thing: I tried to checkout a book, with and without caching, on a copy of a real database. The result is absolutly astonishing: The command run: perl -d:NYTProf circ/circulation.pl userid=test password=test borrowernumber=7852 barcode=0051900272 Without T::T cache = Profile of circ/circulation.pl for 3.28s (of 4.74s), executing 486760 statements and 88239 subroutine calls in 284 source files and 87 string evals. With T::T cache = Profile of circ/circulation.pl for 2.37s (of 2.83s), executing 144410 statements and 53427 subroutine calls in 293 source files and 74 string evals. The circulation.tt is one of the largest template we have, the result is ... well, use the word you want. Once you've started running Koha with caching as one of those 2 users, you can't run a script as the other user. As the missing tables are scheduled to be added for 3.8, it's currently not possible to make use of this nice plugin for older versions of Koha. A nice enhancement would be an option to generate a standard .koc file from the plugin. This patch adds the new export option 'marcstd' for exporting MARC records without 9xx, x9x and xx9 fields and subfields to the staff detail page. Testing plan: 1. Export a record in MARC (Unicode/UTF-8) format as a control 2. In the OPAC, run the following jQuery to add the marcstd option to the UI: $(#export #format).append(option value='marcstd'MARC (no 9xx)/option); 3. Export the same record in MARC (no 9xx) format 4. The system pref maxreserves is created during installation by installer/data/mysql/sysprefs.sql However, if your installation is older than 3.01.00.066, it will be removed during an upgrade. So, if you perform a clean install a version of Koha newer than 3.01.00.066, you will still have the maxreserves syspref. But if you upgrade from below 3.01.00.066 to a version above it, you will not! Proposed Solutions: Option A) Add maxreserves back in via updatedatabase.pl Option B) Find all references to maxreserves in the code, and use issuingrules.reservesallowed. It is being used in C4::Reserves::CanItemBeReserved(), so pulling it out is not a good idea. The maxreserves system pref is not used anywhere in C4::Reserves at the moment. It *is* being used in reserve/request.pl, and opac/opac-reserve, and that appears to be it. I'm thinking option B is the better option at the moment. Strip out all references to maxreserves, replace with the new issuingrules reserves, and get rid of the maxreserves line in the systemprefs sql file. So, the item is marked as lost, but is also still listed as checked out to the borrower. This commit adds the command line parameter --mark-returned. If used, longoverdue.pl will remove lost items from the borrowers record. Bug 7345: Follow up: Adding the new export option to staff interface
NOTE: Patch depends on changes made for bug 7345 for the marcstd option.
It adds a new system preference 'OpacExportOptions':
The new system preference allows to give a list of | separated
values to define, which download options are offered in OPAC.
Possible options are listed in the system preference editor
and include the new export option 'marcstd' from bug 7345.
The sequence of the download options in the system preference will
be the sequence in the OPAC pull down.
If left empty, the export option will be hidden from OPAC.
This patch creates a new include file for the OPAC with all the
code that is common to the three detail views (regular, MARC, and
ISBD).
As a side effect of creating this include file, some inconsistencies
in OpacSearchForTitleIn were fixed. {BIBLIONUMBER} and {CONTROLNUMBER}
were broken for ISBD and MARC view before and should now be replaced
with the correct values in all tabs.
Patch makes changes according to QA comments:
- entering an unknown format code will generate no entry in the OPAC pull down
- small change to the description of opaclayoutstylesheet system preference
- Updating text only for description of opaccolorstylesheet and
opaclayoutstylesheet.
