One point though: where possible, I'd like to centralise the files as much as reasonable. That is, rather than create an instance-specific version, it'd be preferable to have a file for all the combinations. We could generated these as part of the build process, if need be. My reasoning for this is simply that this means they'll get upgraded as koha gets upgraded. There will be situations where this really isn't feasible, but if it's just a handful more files, sensibly named, it should be OK. This patch moves the functionality of cataloging-toolbar.inc into addbooks.tt since it is the only place where the include was used. cataloging-toolbar.inc is removed. Changed it to Edit notes. 2) When doing a multi-hold, clicking one Show notes button hides the previously visible note textarea. This is jarring and may confuse patrons into thinking they can only have a note on one and only one of the holds. It would be better to make each Show notes button a toggle to hide it's own note textarea, and clear that textarea if it gets hidden. You could even change the text from Add notes to Remove notes when the textarea is visible. The button now only toggles its own textarea. I do not prefer to remove the notes with one click. Various workflows must be tested to confirm that functionality remains unchanged: - Edit existing record. Clicking the save button should redirect you to the default view page for that record. - Create a new record. Clicking the save button should redirect you to the add/edit items screen. - When creating or editing a record, test the dropdown menu attached to the save button. Each function should work correctly. - Test using a user who does not have edit items permission. There should be no menu attached to the save button. - Test using fast cataloging through circulation. A single save button should appear, redirecting to items. In all cases validation should proceed before saving. Leave a required field empty to test. Testers should also confirm that Z39.50 button works as expected and changing frameworks still works as usual.
