(I was asked about it several times in different places.) I perfectly agree to what Galen wrote -- it's not as straightforward as it seemed to me 2,5 years ago. But seems not to be impossible (for instance, VTLS's Virtua does this). As to the subject headings in MARC-21, an association could be done between 008/11 from authority record and 2nd ind. in 6xx, i.e. 'a' -> 0, 'b' -> 1, 'c' -> 3 (cf. http://www.loc.gov/marc/authority/ad008.html vs. http://www.loc.gov/marc/bibliographic/bd600.html etc.) Indicators in UNIMARC bibliographics 6xx seem to be the same as the ones of authorities 2xx. It should apply to 3.8 and master. To test, install and enable a right-to-left language for the OPAC, currently Hebrew or Arabic. The Arabic OPAC translations for 3.6 are mostly-complete, so they are a good test case. It's helpful to have a reader of the language handy, but the layout should be easy enough to figure out, even for non-readers. To reproduce: 1) Create a report using runtime parameters. However, those fee payments aren't actually processed, due to a bug where the accountnumber was quoted as a string literal, and thus the for the fee payment would fail. This did not result in an DB error, as the query was still valid SQL. Checking the return value of the query would have revealed that the accountline had not been updated. History: This bug was introduced on April 23, 2007 with the commit 'reintroducing fixaccountforlostandreturned as requested by rosalie'. Commit id 111d590e9cdaf801256822e23f170bfc2365338f On July 30, 2009 the error was flagged with a FIXME and remained in that state until now. Commit id 51e8fc2cb6a0cf79f19206c822a4361aeca6f63f Test plan: 1) Create a test patron 2) Check out an item to that patron and give it a due date in the past 3) Run fines.pl to generate the fine for the item 4) Mark the item long overdue on the item tab (not in edit items) 5) Pay for the lost item 6) Check the item back in 7) Note the incorrect fines. Probably my fault :) Note that these two fields are in Cataloging Z3950 search and not in Acquisition. Fixing encoding problems: When adding -utf flag for CGI in acqui/z3950 and cataloging/z3950, the decoding statements in C4/Breeding, Z3950Search should be removed. Test plan: Search in Cataloging with: Standard ID: 9782358670043 on LOC RAW (any): musee [add an accent aigu on first e] on LOC -- Add diacritic!!! Search in Acquisition Somewhere, does not matter, but use a diacritic. A note: My git version still has a hard time with utf8. Need to upgrade to version 1.7.10 to resolve this.. I do not think that this is correct. The branches are shuffled regardless of
the value of RandomizeHoldsQueueWeight. Perhaps better would be:
@branches_to_use ||= keys %{GetBranches()}; # (or the correct version of that
statement, since I didn't test my suggestion)
right after the definition of @branches_to_use?
Also, I think there is a problem here with the default value of
StaticHoldsQueueWeight, which is '0'(?). This could be addressed on a different
bug.

If it is OK, we will be able to improve indexing later, for example suppressing warns, managing indicators or subdivisions, etc. I made some little changes to record.abs : - comments - 216 was indexed in Conference-name as well as Trademark. I supposes "Conference-name" is an error, so I indexed only in Trademark - index 2 new notes : 340 / 356 The only difference between record.abs and DOM is that DOM config files does not index complete fields, but subfields. Ex : melm 200 ===> I took all the subfields from the UNIMARC Authorities manual. We probably need a koha-upgrade-to-3.10, similar til how it was done for 3.4? What I found I had to do to make my instances work after they were upgraded from 3.8.11 to 3.10.4 was: 1. Replace syntax="usmarc" with syntax="normarc|marc21" in koha-conf-xml (and by "normarc|marc21" I mean either normarc or marc21, depending on what the instance actually uses) 2. Probably my fault :) Note that these two fields are in Cataloging Z3950 search and not in Acquisition. Fixing encoding problems: When adding -utf flag for CGI in acqui/z3950 and cataloging/z3950, the decoding statements in C4/Breeding, Z3950Search should be removed. Test plan: Search in Cataloging with: Standard ID: 9782358670043 on LOC RAW (any): musee [add an accent aigu on first e] on LOC -- Add diacritic!!! Search in Acquisition Somewhere, does not matter, but use a diacritic. A note: My git version still has a hard time with utf8. Need to upgrade to version 1.7.10 to resolve this..
