I think we really need to make your new behaviour a configuration option and keep the existing behaviour intact. It could work as a third option in the pull down of AllowOnShelfHolds, with some rephrasing. There is also another problem - GetReserveStatus doesn't work. See bug 10697. After launching an authority search, some people would like to browse some results from several pages. This patch adds, at the OPAC, a link Browse selected authorities when at least one authority is checked. You can choose authorities from several page, not only the current one. In this way, checkboxes already checked become again checked when you come back on this results page. After clicking the link, the Browse results block is filled with selected authotiries. I think the preference in this case should be changed to read: ___ hold requests to be placed on ___ not checked out. Allow/Don't allowitems that are/titles where all items are That way we retain the old behavior and add the new desired behavior. I'm open to other wording, but do agree with Katrin that to maintain the current behavior we need to offer other options to the existing preference. There is no way this patch can be pushed without an option to retain the systems current behavior. I think it's a great enhancement idea, but I don't believe most users would consider the current behavior a bug, as it has been this way since AllowOnShelfHolds was first implemented. Another QA pont: This patch was submitted yesterday, but uses DBI instead of DBIx::Class ( Koha::Database ). Please modify the patch to use DBIC instead of DBI. You only use DBI in one area, so this request shouldn't be too onerous. I do think this is a great idea. Those are shown in the interface and seem to come directly from the database, so they are not translatable. As they are hardcoded translations should be possible and be handled in the template. This to avoid selecting arbitrarily the first value of combo. This behavior must be extended to normal authorized values like CCODE, COUNTRY ... Bug 11077 - Correct silent warnings in C4/Auth.pm
This patch corrects a noisy ne condition.
$userid = $retuserid if ( $retuserid ne '');
became
$userid = $retuserid if ( $retuserid );
It also integrates Srdjan Jankovic's patch with Petter Goksoyrsen's
patch, while correcting the problems found.
This includes:
my $q_userid = $query-param('userid') // '';
along with:
my $s_userid = '';
and:
my $s_userid = $session-param('id') // '';
Indentation does not reflect actual scoping.
And the 'None' is changed to '', since that behaves properly
in the undef case:
my $pki_field = C4::Context-preference('AllowPKIAuth') // '';

A search for terms never brought up this bug so it may be a good warning for future bug reports. Meaningful titles are important. As regards Capitalization: It certainly isn't a deal breaker for us. But the capitalization is not because of using non-standard Library of Congress numbers. LoC itself uses miniscule lettering after publication dates for editions. This is and has been standard practice, so far as I am aware. Thus that part (the easy fix) is a real bug. Regarding the non-standard breaking: It seems that one way of working with such non-standard numbers would be to add a label breaking routine to allow for a special breaking character or customized code. If a library would like a non-standard feature, they can put the work in to write the code for it. Customized means doing the work to make it so. If we want out-of-the-box to work, we had better plan on following standards. For us, this did cause some problems for reference books, but we were just recataloging this section. The solution for us was a combination of collection code (Reference), item type (Reference), and Reference stickers. In the end, that was better than the REF prefix. My patch corrects the problem for which you failed Srdjan Jankovic's patch. You
will notice that I changed:

into
elsif ( !$lasttime || ($lasttime time() - $timeout) ) {
which does work.
I did say, It also integrates Srdjan Jankovic's patch with Petter Goksoyrsen's
patch, while correcting the problems found, by which I meant that if you
applied everything including my patch, everything should silence all the bugs
and continue to work like before.
Also, my patch depends on his, so should I squash our patches together, and get
a single sign off? Should I correct mine after he corrects his? This is a very
weird scenario to have with 3 pieces in 3 vastly different states. I'm happy to
fix them any which way, but what is the best course of action?

A search for terms never brought up this bug so it may be a good warning for future bug reports. Meaningful titles are important. Actually, it is more likely due to the fact that Bugzilla's simple search does not include bugs marked RESOLVED. Otherwise a search on 'Library::CallNumber::LC' would have turned up this bug. FFR, typing the word 'ALL' befor the actual search term in the simple search box will search all bugs. So 'ALL Library::CallNumber::LC' returns a result set which includes this bug. This patch adds a new report section (Report/log files) that lets you access log files in a specific directory on the server. The directory to use can be specified by the publiclogdir config in koha-conf.xml : config ... publiclogdir/var/log/koha-public/publiclogdir ... /config With this feature, you can configure cron scripts so they create files in the publiclogdir directory, and these files will then be accessible in the intranet. This is useful when using the html export of overdue_notices.pl or the invalid_856u.sh script as a cron. It doesn't matter if your second and third triggers are set with notices and values. If you have a notice and no value for the first, that's it - nothing.
