Code looks good to me. Note some wording issues and one blocker in the db
revision. Did not yet test the interface.

not_always is kind of a vague name for an option ;)
There is a charge of [% RESERVE_CHARGE %] for collecting this hold

Shouldn't it be better to say WHEN collecting this hold or WHEN placing this
hold ?

Why did they charge me? Shouldn't you mention the the term "hold fee" here too?

You check if a hold exists before issuing. Shouldn't you check for the
borrowernumber too?
BTW Why not just call GetReserveFee here instead? You do not need to check
holds and account_lines anymore. And additionally you can pass the exact amount
in the message.
If you would still check account_lines, why not search for "Reserve Charge -
$title" too? 

Please rename bug_X.sql.
Additionally, if the pref is set to 'always', you should now change the value
to any_time_is_placed. Since you remove always !!

It's normal if you are running both staff and OPAC on the same 'URL' with only
the ports being different. If you use different subdomains it would not happen.

The table old_issues has a primary key defined on the issue_id column.
This issue_id comes from the issues table when an item is checked in.

In some case the value of issue_id already exists in the table

Basically this happens when an item is returned and mysqld is restarted:
The auto increment value for issues.issue_id will be reset to
MAX(issue_id)+1 (which is the value of the last entry of old_issues).
See also the description of bug 18003 for more informations.

In this solution the change is done at code level instead of DB
structure: If old_issues.issue_id already exists before moving from
the issues table, the issue_id is updated (not on cascade for
accountlines.issue_id, should it?) before the move.

I think you face the same problem as bug 18003, but for issues.

To confirm it, try:
1. Issue an item for a patron, note the itemnumber of this item
2. Get the issue id of this issue:
  SELECT issue_id FROM issues WHERE itemnumber=ITEMNUMBER;
If you do not know the item number, you can get it from the barcode with:
  SELECT itemnumber FROM items where barcode="BARCODE";

Then check if this issue_id already exists in the old_issues table:
  SELECT COUNT(*) FROM old_issues WHERE issue_id=ISSUE_ID

Hello,
How do I set DNS for koha system login instead of IP::port. I've done an IP
based installation and now I can't change this. I've already done what's
explained in
https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/How_to_set_up_a_domain_name_for_Koha but I
can't put it to work. System login page still goes to IP::port and DNS goes to
OPAC page as well as staff-client URL. Is there any conf file that I'be been
missing?...

Sorry for the rookieness, I'm new with koha.

Bug 18209 - Patron's card manage.pl page is not fully translatable

The headers of the tables displayed in patroncards/manage.tt are hardcoded in
the .pl and thus cannot be translated.

This simple fix reuse the translate_card_element tool already in the code to
make the strings translatable.

Applied patch and verified that table headers on manage.pl display the same as
before.

For libraries using Excel the CSV export often shows some problems:
Umlauts/diacritics are broken, because UTF-8 is not detected automatically and
the separators are not recognized with all data appearing in one line.

What works really will, also with Excel, is the Open Document format that was
added for exporting reports. It would be nice if this option could also be
added to the items search in the staff interface.

This patch adds the OPACZ3950 preference which activates a "Z39.50 Search" page
in the OPAC.

This page can be used to let members search for biblio records on remote Koha
instances. If the "Show" link is clicked in the results page, the user is then
redirected to the remote Koha's OPAC to see the record's details.

This feature can be useful if you have multiple libraries with their own Koha
instance and you want your users to be able to search for books in your other
libraries.

Please note that this will only work with Koha instances. The links in the
results page won't work with other normal Z39.50 servers.

Pretty good improvement.

What concerns me is how well does this module detect the available CPU cores?

For example on LXC all the cores are visible to the test runner.

There can be resource limits, but we might get a situation where we fork 32
test runners because the LXC container is ran on a server with 32 cores.
However resource limits prevent utilization of more than 4 on this
LXC-container.

This is not good.

Maybe a better solution would be to accelerate the whole test running
infrastructure. I am not seeing anything in t or $KOHA_PATH which would allow
to easily run all Koha's tests, but I have been working on something like Bug
18238.

Parallelizing the test runs makes sense in this bigger context, but needs
multiple parallel test databases and KOHA_CONF's and is generally a big hassle
and prone to all kinds of strange race condition errors.

Maybe it is better to parallellize tests from infrastructure using your DevOps
(TM) build pipeline and run tests on multiple Koha-intances?

I am using this script to run various kinds of tests in Koha.

Test execution starts from
Jenkins2.0,
then passes to
https://github.com/kivilahtio/AnsbileTorpor
which triggers a Koha build and test runs
and finally is executed via Ansible scripts
ks-test-harness.pl --git 5

permission for each list we show in the opac.
