Hi Katrin! Yes I have seen PatronSelfModificationBorrowerUnwantedField. The
problem is if you like us would like to keep Address2 field in both
SelfRegistration and SelfModification but have it as an optional fields in
SelfModification and a compulsory field in SelfRegistration. This configuration
seems impossible with Koha settings.

That's the problem - I don't remember what to copy from where to where. Can you
add a bit more detailed instructions or an example? I can try to find a place

Suspended hold message appears in barcode field

In Intranet, when we suspend a hold, the message "hold is suspended" appears in
a column titled "barcode". Even when the hold is not suspended, that column
doesn't show the barcode. I'm guessing it's just a wording problem...

I verified the problem in 16.11.x, but might need some help in order to fix it.


The template expects a variable basketcount to contain the number of linked
baskets. It's undefined in 16.11.x.

The problem is in the API rewrite:

Bug 12896: Move the bookseller-related code into Koha::Acquisition::Bookseller

Changed the code from using GetBookSellerFromId which returned the count, to
use  the new API:

$supplier = Koha::Acquisition::Bookseller->fetch({ id => $booksellerid });
This doesn't return the counts.

The problem doesn't appear in 17.05, because in December after 16.11.x was
released, another heavy change was made that fixed things in the 17.05 branch:

Bug 13726 - Koha::Acquisition::Bookseller should use Koha::Object

It added Koha::Acquisition::Booksellers and fixed the count variables for
baskets and subscriptions.

How to fix?

GetBookSellerFromId is no longer there, but I am also missing the newer methods
used in 17.05:
+$supplier = Koha::Acquisition::Booksellers->find( $booksellerid );
basketcount   => $supplier->baskets->count,

Dependency trees from that far back are hard to unravel and trying to do so
might cause new bad side effects. I think a 16.11.x specific fix for this
problem only would be preferrable at this point in time.

I think this is a duplicate of the older bug 5630 which is also signed off at
the moment.

There was some discussion about using an authorised value there and because we
already have a list of payment types used by SIP and translatability some
hardcoded values were added. Maybe we could make it so that the list can be
extended by an authorised value? (... and make authorised values translatable
for display one day...)

Can we pick one implementation?

This patch adds the SCI module, and adapts C4::Auth to know about it.

The current behaviour is:
- Requires admin user initialization/login
- Uses the logged users' library
- A form allows to scan multiple barcodes
- A button sends the barcode list to the controller
  to batch perform the checkins
- Successful and failed checkins are sent to the template
- Results are displayed
- Logout link

To test:
- Apply this patches
- Make sure you upgrade:
  $ kshell
 k$ perl installer/data/mysql/updatedatabase.pl
- Have 'SelfCheckInModule' disabled
- Go to http://kohadev.myDNSname.org:8080/cgi-bin/koha/sci/sci-main.pl [1]
=> SUCCESS: You are rejected because the feature is disabled
- Enable 'SelfCheckInModule'
- Go to the previous URL
=> SUCCESS: You are required to login
- Login with a user WITHOUT self_checkout permissions
=> SUCCESS: You are not allowed to log into the Self check-in module.
- Login with a user WITH self_checkour permissions
=> SUCCESS: You gain access, and are presented the UI
- Go through the several options
=> SUCCESS: All works as it should
- Click the 'Help' link
=> SUCCESS: A help text is displayed on a modal

Should we consider logging reversing or voiding payments somewhere? We have
talked to libraries that have to report regularly on money collected and
changing payments later on could cause confusing results if not used very
carefully.

But this is not translatable, and not necessarily at the right place.

Maybe it could be possible to use a placeholder (like <>) to
tell where to add this notification, and then make it translatable.

Bug 19623 - Move template JavaScript to the footer: Cataloging

This patch modifies some staff client cataloging templates so that
JavaScript is included in the footer instead of the header.

Several cataloging templates are excluded because they require
significant structural changes: addbiblio.tt, additem.tt, and editor.tt

To test, apply the patch and test the JavaScript-driven features of the
modified templates: All button controls, DataTables functionality, tabs,
etc.

Note that z350_auth_search.tt is tested by performing a Z39.50 search
from the Authorities module.

Bug 18790 - Add ability to void payments

We've had the ability to 'reverse' a payment for a long time, but it
would be much better if we had a true void payment function that
replaces the paid amounts into the fee so that it appears as if the
payment was never made.

Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch and dependent patches
2) Run updatedatabase.pl
3) Create some fines
4) Pay those fines
5) Use the new 'void' button to void the payments
6) Note the fines were restored to their pre-payment amounts

such as cash, check, credit card, or even canned food ( for food drives ). This

Bug 19585: Inventory: Allow additional separators in a barcode file

This patch makes \n, \r, |, comma, semicolon and hyphen ('-') all valid
separators between barcodes passed to inventory.
An additional grep removes empty barcodes. (Note: The grep looks for at
least one non-whitespace character. We could be more specific, but this
allows for more flexibility like testing with alphanumeric barcodes etc.)

Test plan:
Upload a barcode file that contains various allowed separators.

Adjust elastic search mappings to more closely match Zebra equivalents
resolving serveral issues with coded Zebra searches in templates, and
sorting of search results in UI.

Bug 19626 - Calculate expiration date for existing holds based on waitingdate

To test:
1 - Have/create a 16.11 instance with some waiting holds
2 - Those holds should not have an expirationdate
3 - Make sure some of the holds are waiting longer than
ReservesMaxPickupDelay
BACKUP THE DB
4 - Upgrade to 17.05 (or later)
5 - Check the expirationdate for the holds
6 - The date wil be in the future (curdate + delay)
7 - Restore DB
8 - Apply patch
9 - Run the upgrade again
10 - expirationdate should now be based on waitingdate

Logic in short seems to be:
1 - Does hold already have an expirationdate?
a- Keep it if before calculated expirationdate
2 - If not 1 then calculate expiration as curdate + delay (+ holidays if pref)

The problem is, before 12063 waiting holds didn't have an expirationdate, so a
hold that has been waiting for 2 months will now get a waiting date after the
upgrade.

I think line 14374 should be:
my $expirationdate = dt_from_string($hold->waitingdate);
