Test plan: 1. Apply patch and run ./updatedatabase.pl in the koha shell 2. Restart memcached and plack 3. In the staff client go to Administration->Global system preferences and search for the systempreference: AdvancedSearchBranchFieldToUse and notice by default it is set to 'homebranch and holdingbranch' 4. Create a library group (if you do not already have one) and add several library branches to the group. 5. Note down the barcode of an item to use for testing searching. Make sure the items homebranch and holdingbranch are different and the items homebranch is a child branch of the library group created in step 4 5. Perform an Advanced search in the staff client and write in the keyword as the barcode of the item and select the library group in the 'Location and availability' section. 6. Submit the search query and notice the item with a homebranch existing in the selected library group is returned. This proves that when the AdvancedSearchBranchFieldToUse syspref is set to 'homebranch and holdingbranch' the homebranch value is checked. Also note at the top of the search result page the search query is listed: Results of search with limit(s): '(homebranch: or holdingbranch: or homebranch: or holdingbranch: )' 7. Now edit the item making sure the homebranch branch is not in the library group, and making sure the holdingbranch is in the library group. This is to test that holdingbranch is indeed being checked when the AdvancedSearchBranchFieldToUse is set to 'AdvancedSearchBranchFieldToUse'. 8. Repeat step 5 and 6 and notice the item with a holdingbranch existing in the selected library group is returned. This proves that when the AdvancedSearchBranchFieldToUse syspref is set to 'homebranch and holdingbranch' the holdingbranch is checked. 9. Change the value of the AdvancedSearchBranchFieldToUse syspref to 'holdingbranch' and repeat step 8 and again notice the item with a holdingbranch existing in the selected library group is returned so we know the holdingbranch is being chcked when the 'holdingbranch' value for the syspref is set. Also note the search query at the top of the page is: "Results of search with limit(s): '(holdingbranch: or holdingbranch: )'" this shows holdingbranch not homebranch is a condition in the query 10. Change the homebranch back to a branch that is in the library group and change the holdingbranch value to a library branch that is not in the library group. 11. Repeat step 5 and 6 and notice the item with the homebranch in the selected library group is returned, so we know the homebranch is being checked when the 'homebranch' value for the syspref is set. Also note the search query at the top of the page is: " Results of search with limit(s): '(homebranch: or homebranch: )'" this shows homebranch not holdingbranch is a condition in the query. The purpose of this feature is to be able to train junior library staff and catalogers by letting them practise cataloging biblio records and saving them as drafts (stored in the reservoir). Because these draft records are stored in the reservoir they are not returned as OPAC search results. This patch implements a new 'editcatalogue' subpermission called 'commit_MARC_records_to_catalog'. A staff member must have this subpermission enabled to commit a record to the catalog. In the addbiblio.pl interface users with all editcatalogue subpermissions (which should be staff experienced with cataloging) will see 4 'Save' options: * Save and review record * Save and edit items * Save and continue editing * Save without cataloging Junior staff should have all editcatalog subpermissions except for 'commit_MARC_records_to_catalog' and they will see one save option 'Save without cataloging' and this saves the record as a draft. To view and administer all draft records you can click on the 'View draft records' button in the toolbar on the addbooks.pl page. Here draft records are listed newest to oldest and individual draft records can be edited/deleted or all draft records can be deleted in one go. Test plan: Test plan: 1. Go to addbooks.pl and notice there is no 'View draft reocrds' button in the toolbar alongside 'New record' 2. Apply patch 3. Restart plack, memcached 4. Update your database, this can be achieved by runnning installer/data/mysql/updatedatabase.pl or in Koha staff client going to Adminstration->Global system preferences->Local use and amending the Version syspref value 5. Create two user accounts one with superlibrarian permissions and the other with all editcatalogue subpermissions except for 'commit_MARC_records_to_catalog' and also enable the catalogue permission so this user can access the staff client. 6. Log in as user 1 (superlibrarian) go to Cataloging->New record and select the 'Save' dropdown box and notice you have 4 options. Select 'Save and view record' and notice you have created a biblio in the catalog. 7. Log out and log in as user 2 go to Cataloging->New record and click the 'Save' button and notice that there is only one option 'Save without cataloging'. Meaning you are restricted to only creating a draft record. 8. Select 'Save without cataloging' and you are re-directed to the Cataloging main page. Now select the 'View draft records' button and view your draft record in the table of draft records. 9. Select the 'Edit' link and notice the addbiblio.pl page for the draft record is loaded 10. Return to the View draft records interface and delete the draft record and notice that after the page reloads the record is no longer displayed in the table. 11. Create 2 more draft records and return to the View draft records interface and select 'Delete all drafts from reservoir' and notice the drafts table is emptied 12. Create 1 more draft record and then log out 13. Log in as user 1 (superlibrarian) and go to the View draft records interface. 14. Select the 'Edit' link 15. Select any save option except for 'Save without cataloguing' and notice the record is now committed to the catalog. 16. Return to the 'View draft records' interface and notice the record you just committed to the catalog has been removed as a draft record in the reservoir. 17. Run the unit test t/db_dependent/ImportBatch.t in koha-shell 18. Notice that unit test 12 passes: 'ok 12 - No biblio expected since we deleted the biblio from the batch' 19. Log out and back in as the second user and search for a biblio record which is in the catalog (i.e. not a draft record) and notice both in the staff client search results and the biblio detail page the links to edit the record and items associated with the biblio record are not displayed. This is because the user you are logged in as has all edit_catalogue permissions except CAN_user_editcatalogue_commit_MARC_records_to_catalog which is neccessary to add/edit/delete biblios or items in the catalog. As this cronjob is run for every Koha instance the retrival of all Koha instance names from debian/scripts/koha-scripts in previous obsolete patches on this bug report and the looping through every name to check if the lock file existed is redundant. Instead this patch retrieves the 'logdir' of the Koha instance being iterated over and checks if the messagequeue.lock file in that directory is locked. If the aforementioned file is not locked then the SendQueuedMessages() in C4/Letters.pm is called, otherwise an email is sent (to the manually inputted email server, and to/from addresses) and duplicate execution of the cronjob is prevented. Test plan: 1. In two terminals open koha-shell and try to run ./process_message_queue.pl and notice you can run the script multiple times simulataneously without a warning/error being displayed 2. Apply patch and input the email server, to/from email addresses you would like the email to be sent to. Also confirm your Koha instance is enabled to send emails. 3. Repeat step 1 and notice that the second of the two scripts to be run will output text saying './process_message_queue.pl is already running. Exiting' In this case the aforementioned text is displayed and the body of the cronjob is not run. 4. The first cronjob script to run, runs without issues 5. At the end of the execution of the first script a 15 second pause is run 6. This allows librarians to define either the item creation date or items last altered timestamp as the starting point for the age of the item so the autmatic_item_modification_by_age.pl can alter item fields for example for items which have been in the catalogue for a while. A use case for this functionality is: * When an items shelving location changes from 'In processing' to 'Shelving trolley' after 1 hour the status 'Shelving trolley' is removed for the item. The unit 'Hours' can now be set (extending the functionality of this cronjob from just calculating item age in days) and the age starting point of 'Last altered' can be defined so existing items in the catalogue like this example item will be altered by the cronjob. Test plan: 1. Go to Tools->Automatic item modifications by age and create a new rule by selecting the 'Edit rules' button 2. Notice you can only set the age in the unit of days not hours. Also alsthough not visible in the interface the rule will calculate the age of the item based on when it was created (i.e. added to Koha). 3. Apply patch and run ./updatedatabase.pl in the koha-shell 4. Now revisit Tools->Automatic item modifications by age. Notice the table of existing rules now contains a new column 'Age starting point' this is the date from which the item age is calculated. This enhancement offers you two options as the age starting point: Created (displayed in this table as 'itemcreated') or Last altered (displayed in this table as 'itemaltered'). 5. Click 'Edit rules' to create a new rule. Notice in the form for creating the new rule you can set the unit to either 'Hours' or 'Days'. When you select 'Days' then the Age starting point selection will appear where you can specify if you want the rule to work on the number of days since the item was last altered or number of days since the item was created. NOTE: If you select 'Hours' as the unit type when creating a new rule then the Age starting point selection area is hidden. This is because the item creation value is saved in the database as a date not a datetime. Therefore we cannot calculate the number of hours since the item was created in the Koha catalog. Therefore if the unit is set to 'Hours' then by default the item will use the item last altered value (stored as a date time) as the age starting point. For existing rules if they have the unit set to 'Hours' then the Age starting point area is hidden by default when the page loads. 6. In the new rule set the following values: Age: 1, Unit: Hours, condition items.location = 'CART', items.location = '' 7. Now save the rule and confirm the correct values are dispayed in the rules table which is loaded 8. Click 'Edit rules' button again. 9. Modify the rule you just created changing Age to 2 and create another new rule with the following values: Age='1', Unit='Days', 'Age starting point'='Created', Condition 'items.homebranch'='', substituions 'items.homebranch'='' 10. Now click 'Save' and confirm the data displayed for both rules is correct. 11. In the database manually set the location field of two items to 'CART' and set their timestamp value to 2 hours before the current time 12. Exit out of the database terminal and manually run the automatic_item_modification_by_age.pl cronjob from the koha-shell with this command: ./automatic_item_modification_by_age.pl --confirm 13. Now return to the database and notice the two items you set have a location of 'CART' now have a blank location field because the manually run cronjob altered them as they meet the conditions of the rule. 14. Repeat step 11 and enter this text into your /etc/cron.d/koha-common file: */2 * * * * root koha-foreach --enabled /usr/share/koha/bin/cronjobs/automatic_item_modification_by_age.pl --confirm This will make the cronjob run every 2 minutes. 15. Now restart koha-common with this command: sudo /etc/init.d/koha-common restart 16. Now wait for more than 2 minutes and check the database again and notice that the two items have blank location fields as the automatically running cronjob altered the items. The harvester ingests MARCXML. You can harvest other metadata formats, but you must use a XSLT to transform them into MARCXML, if you want them to be imported into Koha. You can supply your own download and import modules via the oai-pmh-harvester.yaml configuration file, but the default modules supplied in this patch should be good enough for your purposes. If they're not, raise a Bugzilla issue. There is a cleanup_database.pl addition, because high volume harvesting will cause the oai_harvester_import_queue table to fill quickly. A new include file is added, installer-intranet-bottom.inc, so that only required JS is being loaded. Some markup changes are included to improve validity. To test, apply the patch and start with a blank Koha database. Run through the installer and onboarding processes and confirm that there are no problems. Check especially JS-related interactions like datepickers and fields which are validated via JS, like the password inputs. You should now see the permanent location, and the cart location in parenthesis. 5) Try removing descriptions from locations. Codes should replace descriptions when not available. Nothing should show if a value (code is missing. 6) Check another item that was not checked in. You should see the permanent location and not a secondary location. This search has filters on acquisition date. Actually those filters does not work. The create a search using CCL syntaxe to query Zebra search engine. The cause is that operator "ge" or "le" must be before "st-date-normalized" in CCL query. Looks like it is because of "st-date-normalized" uses "r=o" in ccl.properties. Test plan : 1) Check in advance search you have indexed acquisition date 2) Go to Tools > Label creator 3) Click on New > Label batch 4) Click on Add item(s) 5) Enter a relevent date in "Added on or after date" and in "Added on or before date" 6) Click on "Search" => SUCCESS: You get results 7) Apply the patch 8) Retry the 'Add item(s)' step => SUCCESS: Patch doesn't change behaviour for old Zebra 9) Get rid of the patch on your working branch 10) Use the latest Zebra: - /etc/apt/sources.list.d/indexdata.list: deb http://ftp.indexdata.dk/debian jessie main - Add the repo key: $ wget http://ftp.indexdata.dk/debian/indexdata.asc -O- | sudo apt-key add - - Upgrade: $ sudo apt update; sudo apt dist-upgrade $ sudo koha-rebuild-zebra -f -a -b -v kohadev $ restart_all 11) Retry the 'Add item(s)' step => FAIL: No results! 9) Apply the patch, retry => SUCCESS: Search results! - Sign off :-D Signed-off-by: Maryse Simard Followed the test plan and it works. Login as Branch C and check the item in 4) Note the great modal to redirect the hold. Note that the old dialog is behind it! 5) Check in the item at Branch B to put it in waiting status. 6) Be human and make another mistake. Login as Branch C and check the item in. Notice it does nothing except a local hold. 7) Check out an item at Branch A. 8) Check in the item at Branch B. Notice the classic blue transfer dialog at the top of page. 9) Apply the patch. 10) Check everything in at their branches. 11) Repeat steps 1-8. Now note the classic dialogs are gone and nothing but the modals left. At /authorities-home.pl, in a catalogue with a large authorities table, where a main heading has many secondary headings it can be very hard to find the correct term. In screenshot #1 the main heading 'Bible' returns nearly 10,000 results: 494 pages of 20. To find 'Bible -- Gospels' one has potentially to scroll through the 494 pages. For payments, the field would contain the code for the branch the payment was made at. For manual invoices, it would be the code of the library that created the invoice.
