I see the follow-up doesn't contain changes to the other address format files
still, could you please check?

I understand that it happens, my main point is documentation. By slipping in
features into bugs without documenting them at least in the commit message,
they often get lost and end up undocumented, especially when they don't fit the
bugs description which is often all people look at in release notes.
I hope to see this signed off soon!

Not sure if there is anything better in the works. Create another option in each preference, as developed, that defers to individual library preferences. For example: CircAutoPrintQuickSlip Modify dropdown for the following settings: clear the screen open a print quick slip window open a print slip window defer to individual library preferences Defer to individual library preferences would activate a similar preference for each library in the branches.pl that would allow you to set the preference according to that particular library's need. The defer to individual library preferences setting would adhere to the preference of whatever each library applied to the situation. Modify the branches.pl editing table with a tab for preferences for the selected library. As preferences are added, they can be categorized and laid out to mirror the layout in preferences.pl. So, create a duplicate setting for CircAutoPrintQuickSlip. Have it so this preference does not show unless the CircAutoPrintQuickSlip in preferences.pl is set to defer to individual library preferences. When this setting is active, the setting under each library should default to whatever the default for this setting was in preferences.pl as a single setting. Modify circulation.pl to honor the prefernces.pl setting if set to Allow or Don't Allow, but have it use the settings for the currently logged in library if set to defer to individual library preferences. If we could do this much, we will have established a model that we could continue to follow for current and future preferences. Just a thought. I don't want to pursue the CircAutoPrintQuickSlip preference, and here is why - It is an all or nothing setting. As a member of a consortium, this would be a problem. Not all our libraries have printers. Not everyone wants to print the same slip. (koha/cataloguing/addbiblio.pl) * Click the "Link authorities automatically" button. A message should appear, telling the user "No authority link was changed." * Add random informations in field 600$a of the biblio record. * Click the "Link authorities automatically" button. * if matching authority was found, The message box should now show "600 - A matching authority was found in the local database". * if no matching authority was found, the message box should now show "600 - No matching authority found.". For this scenario, we want the authority match to have failed. * The 600$9 field should now be red and icons should have appeared next to it. Click on the "create authority" icon. * A popup will appear, containing a form to create the missing authority. The form should be pre-filled, a the informations in the 600$a field of the biblio shouldbe in the 100$a field of this new authority record. * Fill in the form and click the "Save" button * The 600$9 field in the biblio record should now be back to normal and have the authid of the authority record that was just created. * Click the "Link authorities automatically" button again. The message box should now show "No authority link was changed.". (koha/cataloguing/addbiblio.pl) * Click the "Link authorities automatically" button. A message should appear, telling the user "No authority link was changed." * Add random informations in field 600$a of the biblio record. * Click the "Link authorities automatically" button. * if matching authority was found, The message box should now show "600 - A matching authority was found in the local database". * if no matching authority was found, the message box should now show "600 - No matching authority found.". For this scenario, we want the authority match to have failed. * The 600$9 field should now be red and icons should have appeared next to it. Click on the "create authority" icon. * A popup will appear, containing a form to create the missing authority. The form should be pre-filled, a the informations in the 600$a field of the biblio shouldbe in the 100$a field of this new authority record. * Fill in the form and click the "Save" button * The 600$9 field in the biblio record should now be back to normal and have the authid of the authority record that was just created. * Click the "Link authorities automatically" button again. The message box should now show "No authority link was changed.". EnableAdvancedCatalogingEditor must be set to "Enable." - Go to Cataloging -> Advanced editor. - Click the "Macros" toolbar button. - In the main part of this modal window you should see a blank line marked "1." - Click "New macro..." - The editor's line 1 should now be editable. Bug 14957 - Rule based permission for MARC fields
Add a rule based permission system for MARC field modifications.
Test plan:
1. Apply this patch
2. Run updatedatabase.pl
3. Log in to staff client
4. Enable new syspref MARCPermissions
5. You should see a new link "MARC field permissions" in the "Catalog"
section under "Koha administrtion".
6. Go to the "MARC field permissions" page
7. Next to the page heading ("Manage MARC field permissions") there is a
button with a question mark, click this for more information about the
rule system.
8. Add desired rules to the rule table, press the +-button to add.
9. Clicking the pen-icon (edit) should allow you to edit corresponding
rule.
10. Clicking the x-icon should remove corresponding rule after
confirmation.
11. Selecting one or more rules followed by clicking the trash-icon
should remove all selected rules after confirmation.
12. To test your rules, import or in other way modify a record.
13. Check that the record was modified as defined by your rules.
