Libraries with less resources might want to have smaller images, especially since it can get big real fast (see bug 17650). The max width and max height could be specified in a system preference rather than be hard coded. To test : 1. Turn on LocalCoverImages 2. Attach a large image file to a record 3. You've fallen into the same trap I did however regards linking the preference to AutoEmailNewUser.. in actual fact, this preference isn't that closely related to that preference, it applies to a lot more notices than just the welcome one. I've actually opened a bug to rename this pref and also to expand it with yet another preference to govern the order of the 'first valid' option from here. To test: 1. Go to Administration > Global system preferences 2. Search for AutoEmailPrimaryAddress 3. Read the sentence and choices, make sure it makes sense, grammar and spelling are correct 4. Click the link to AutoEmailNewUser, it should bring up the correct system preference 5. This is probably larger than transfers as holds should not be placed on items from other libraries with IndependentBranches, even if we choose "next available item". IndependentBranches/canreservefromotherbranches should imply "next available item (from this branch)". To reproduce, you must have - IndependentBranches, IndependentBranchesPatronModifications and IndependentBranchesTransfers preferences set to Yes - canreservefromotherbranches must be set to Don't allow - Circulation rules that allow holds and checkouts - Two libraries (I used Midway (A) and Centerville (B)) - A record with two items, one at each library, with barcodes, check out the one from library A - Two non-superlibrarian staff user, one in each library, with at least catalogue and holds permissions, this is what I gave them - circulate (all) - catalogue - delete_borrowers - edit_borrowers - reserveforothers (all) 1. Log in to the staff interface with the non-superlibrarian staff user from library A 2. Go to the record with the two items, click "Place hold" 3. Place a hold for a user, without changing anything (should be for "next available item") 4. Log out and log back in with the non-superlibrarian staff user from library B 5. Check in the item from library B, which should be available --> Hold is confirmed for patron from library A, transfer is created 6. Optionally, you can log out and log back in as staff from library A 7. The GDPR_Policy system preference is about a patron giving consent to their personal data being processed in line with the library's privacy policy. The name of the preference is vague: there could be many policies implemented by libraries to comply with GDPR. It also makes the preference look irrelevant for libraries outside the areas where GDPR applies, while it may be useful for libraries anywhere. The preference could be renamed something like "PrivacyPolicyConsent".
