We aren't making any more effort to maintain the community patch since this bug here seemed more popular. If you have interest in it (Bug 11361 again), and get some traction from the QAs, we'll be happy to rebase it for the latest version within days. There's a basic metasearch that I added to bug 11559 that, while not perfect, is much more reliable than pazpar2. The one feature that it eliminates is on-the-fly merging; aka, how the current interface shows results as they come in. It also has slightly lower limits on how many records it can fetch, being written in pure Perl. Note that not all targets support keyword search, but here are some that do: * Library of Congress: lx2.loc.gov, 210, LCDB, none, none, MARC21, UTF-8 * BNF2: z3950.bnf.fr, 2211, TOUT, Z3950, Z3950_BNF, UNIMARC, UTF-8 4) Perform a search on the OPAC, check to see if the "external targets" notice pops up at the top. 5) Click on the results link near that message. 6) This should bring back results from all enabled targets, all of which should be clickable to bring up a detailed view of the record. (This version incorporates previous QA followups and some fixes for translation and per-branch-limiting.) This problem is on their end, rather than these patches' or the XSLT's. Fixed the diacritics in the above patch. The failing after a certain page is a transient problem that happens after the user goes in a few pages, where requests to Pazpar2 seem to get stuck somewhere in Apache or the browser. It usually only happens after going fairly deep in the search results, and can be often be fixed by reloading. I'm using an old version of yaz (4.2.13 from 2011) on my dev system, so I had to go pretty far back to get something that I could even configure. I suppose it's a bit of a moot point that Debian's Wheezy repo has yaz 4.2.30 (from 2012) in it, since the pazpar2 packages from IndexData must upgrade one's yaz packages as well. I suppose the thing to do is just update my yaz, but it would be good to know what version of yaz and pazpar2 a person needs to get this feature to work, since we're not all using Debian/Ubuntu. In fact, there probably should be some automated checking to make sure that Koha has the right versions of yaz and pazpar2 available, otherwise this feature will just bust, no? Do we keep track of version dependencies on anything besides Perl modules?
