   Summary: Centralized Blocked Contacts Management
   Product: kopete
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Debian testing
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kopete-devel kde org
ReportedBy: erick.mattos gmail com

Version:(using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from:Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS:Linux

It would be very handy if one could block (become invisible to) users by a
right click option on the contact.
Nowadays is up to each protocol to set up a contact as blocked, so someone
needs to set one by one the protocols of the contact it wants to block.
IMHO, I see it as a right click menu option which would launch a small dialog
showing the protocols checked by default with a confirmation button. Someone
could uncheck some protocols if he wants and this would be saved in a per user
manner.
Unblocking would work in the same manner but having opposite defaults.
Setting each protocol up would be made by Kopete every time you log on and the
contact is not correctly configured.
Another separate form could show contacts situation for querying and
configuration purposes.
This could be programed directly on the software itself or as a plugin.
Thanks to all the open source community for all the good softwares we are using.

Best regards

I have a TV Tuner on /dev/v4ltv and my webcam on /dev/v4lcam (symlinks created
by udev to /dev/video0 or /dev/video1 depending of the two modules (bttv and
quickcam) insertion order.

When a program uses /dev/v4ltv (like mplayer) and I launch kopete it will make
mplayer to freeze.

I think that kopete should unlock /dev/v4ltv (in the settings, I choose the
correct device).

I'm for a global change. GroupWise has the same feature.

[kopete-devel] kopete for windows?

2007-07-09 Thread Cavveman

Hi

Is it possible for you to make a Windows version of Kopete?
Since it's better than Gaim and Miranda.

And if you don't do a win32 kopete how can i compile the source to a win32
application?

Same problem; running Kubuntu Feisty; also occurred on Edgy. Using Kopete
0.12.5.

As mentioned above too, I have no problems with Yahoo webcam support.

Why is this marked "FIXED" when I still see this problem in Kopete 0.12.5?

When I backspace to erase the message I'm typing, sometimes my font color
changes back to black on white.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start typing something.
2. Backspace over the whole thing by holding down the backspace key until your
text area is empty.
3. Start typing some more.
4. Backspace again.

If you keep repeating this process, you'll see the bug eventually. It normally
only takes 1 or 2 cycles of this to trigger the bug.
