can view it at

I have been thinking of a KR fly-in and would like some feedback from you KR
netheads. When would be a good time for it and who would plan on attending. If
y ou don't have to have a fly ing KR, you can drive in. I'm located in North
East Tennessee near Greeneville, between Johnson City and Knoxville. 04TN
Hensley Airpark. www.hensleyairpark.com   With Oshkosh at the end of July and
KR gathering in September Would 3rd Sat in August be pushing things too much?
Oct, Nov, next spring??? I'm retired so if some of you would like to come in on
Friday and stay until Sunday I can arrange transportation to a motel or bring
camping gear and camp in the hangar or back yard. Lets put our heads together
and plan something.

KR> Cabin heat problem solved

2009-07-20 Thread Myron (Dan) Freeman
Hi guys and girls;

Well that was a simple fix. The push/pull cable was mis-labeled. It said
pull for heat and should have been push for heat. New label and everything
is fine now.

Now for the EGT gauge next.

KR> Wicks & KR history

2009-07-20 Thread laser...@juno.com
Interesting note on page 19 of the current issue of Flying magazine.

"In 1974 Martin Wick, who owned Wicks Organ Company, built a Rand KR-2 in
only three months, but the experience convinced him that there was a
market for a company that catered to the needs of homebuilders, and Wicks
Aircraft Supply was born."

  Subject: KR> Kr for sale

  Hi all,

I have a KR-2 for sale, it was a flying plane in the test phase, then had
a hard landing and now needs a few minor repairs along with finishing the
engine. it has a tri gear and the engine is a VW 1800 greatplanes conversion
done at the factory. and is brand new because the old engine had a prop
strike and as shot, so a new engine.

I also have an extra upper and lower KR-2 cowling

I don't have pictures posted yet but if there is intrest I will try to
post some somewhere. Or I can try to email pictures ?

the plane is located in California near Sacramento and I'm going to ask
$6,500.00 but I'm open to offers ?.

If anyone is intrested contact me off the net at
"bobbycrea...@yahoo.com " and I might be able
to email pictures.

I picked up the plane thinking I could finnish it and fly it, and I really
don't think it will take much to get it flying but I just don't have the
time to work on it or the place to keep it. so I think before it gets
wrecked sitting out I should move it along.

  thanks
  Bobby

KR> Heat in the cabin

2009-07-20 Thread Myron (Dan) Freeman
[quote] Sure wrap the exhaust pipes then glue some fiberfrax onto the bottom
of your socks !!

LOL

Larry H.

LOL, Yeah, I already thought of that. LOL

After looking at more pictures it appears that there is a heat duct shutoff
box on the engine side of the firewall which might not be fully shut off.
Will try to take a look at it today and see. I'll stop by that speed shop
and see what they have for the exhaust pipes.
