One of them was where Rick Junkin's KR2S flight test plan was located.
Anybody have an original copy of this Word file you could send me so I can
put it directly on www.KRnet.org?

KR> Aircraft Products tailwheel bearing bore diameter

2009-08-08 Thread Mark Langford
You guys with the same Aircraft Products 4" tailwheel that I have...what's the
inside bore of the bearing on that? I'm thinking it has a 9/16 nut on the
bolt, but that it's a shoulder bolt that's 1/2" in diameter, meaning it's a
half inch bearing bore. Am I right about that? I'm looking at buying one
that's got about twice as much rubber on it, and have my choice of 3/8" or 1/2"
bearing bore. I'd just go measure mine (and I even have a new spare in a box
that'd make it easy), but my airplane's not close at hand at the moment...

Thanks,

KR> Rick Junkin's Flight Test Plan?

2009-08-08 Thread Mark Langford
NetHeads,

I've done some cleaning up on the website at www.krnet.org and killed off 22
dead links, most of which died when AOL Hometown disappeared late last year.
One of them was where Rick Junkin's KR2S flight test plan was located. All web
searches have turned up is similarly dead AOL Hometown links. Anybody have an
original copy of this Word file you could send me so I can put it directly on
www.KRnet.org? Don't bother sending it to the whole list...the list doesn't
accept attachments.

Thanks,

Mark Langford

Well, everyone says I'm going to regret it, but I'm going to put my KR up
for sale at the Gathering this year. We have our first baby on the way and
my wife just won't fly with me any more, so I'm going to upgrade to
something a bit bigger. I'm planning on arriving Friday and if you want, you
can fly it home!

Here's some info, feel free to ask questions:

KR> ICOM IC-A200

2009-08-08 Thread Dene Collett
Hi guys
I am busy doing a revamp of an instrument panel here and desperately need the
pinout diagram for an ICOM IC-A 200 panel mount tranceiver to mate it up with a
softcomm intercom system. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have looked
on their websight and the download does not have what I need. Thanks

Fw: Re: KR> O2 Requirements

2009-08-08 Thread Tony Wright
Several years ago, I went through the altitude chamber at Tyndall AFB (the
one in the video that Darren linked to). It was eye opening. As pilots, we
are given the opportunity to use these chambers through an agreement with
the military and the FAA. All that is required is that you contact the FAA
they will let you know of dates that the cambers are available. There are
no fees and you use their equipment. The one in Dayton, OH was supposed to
be usable sometime this year. There are about 8 throughout the country. I
drove almost 1000 miles and made a mini vacation out of it. The training
started at 8:00 am and lasted all day (5:00 pm). The wife enjoyed Panama
City's beach, while I was learning my hypoxia symptoms. If you are going
to fly over 1' I recommend going through this training. IT'S FREE!!!
and you get the high altitude endorsement. And if I didn't mention it, it
is very affordable.

As a former flight attendant for 15 years, our annual emergency revalidation
instructors drilled into us to recognise the onset of mild, moderate and
sever hypoxia.
There are many videos on youtube which show these symptoms in controlled
environments and while some have an element of humor about them, there are
those that also demonstrate real life tragic outcomes
