KR> Mismatched brake parts

2014-12-29 Thread Paul

I just bought and installed Hegar 4 Products master cylinders. I have Matco
Brakes. Hegar requires ATF and Matco stipulates petroleum based fluid only. Can
I just change some parts (O rings) to solve this dilemma?

When i built my wings i used shower curtain covers from kmart. They are
extremely light and can be telescoped inside of each other for length. I am
not sure how hard they are to find now. That was 20 years ago.

KR> Bellybrake

2014-12-29 Thread Herbert Fürle

..my bellyboard turns down to about 80 deg. and after talking to some
aerodynamicists and some practical trials I decided to let the board without
holes.
The tests I made are very simple.I took a foamsheet ( 1 meter x 1 meter x 5
mm) ,fixed 5 strings to the edges and the center with a weight (about 100
grams ) and used my "parachute" as testdummy.
I dropped the dummy from my ten meter high rooftop (5 trials without holes
and 5 trials with holes) and compared the times I measured.
It was easy to recognice that the board without holes always gone down slower !
There was a big difference how they sank down. The board without holes tumbled
much more than the Board with the holes (due to the holes,of course)

Another option is braided split sleeving. ?I've used the Painless brand from
Amazon for automotive applications so far and been happy with the results.?

Look it up on YouTube to get a better idea of what it's like.

Radio Shack has various sizes. These are flexible and slit length-wise.

Looking for something to use for conduit. I think that I saw a very light,
thin wall, plastic tubing at one time, but cannot find it anywhere. I want
to use it for conduit to run wires to the back of the plane. I could use
Nylaflow, but it is fairly heavy and overkill for this function.

It's also known as 'loom' if you're looking or asking for it.

Google "flexible automotive conduit" and you can see it. I think it comes in
red, yellow, and black. You can look at about any car and see the stuff in the
engine compartment.

I have the same issue. What I am looking for needs to be fairly rigid and was
considering PVC tube, but if you just want something flexible the regular black
flex conduit is light weight and comes in several different sizes. I think
down to 1/4".

How about pipe for irrigation systems? Some of the pipe we have here
s very thin. I think size is 12mm - 1/2 inch. Also comes in 19mm.
