KR> Supplier of aircraft wood

2016-01-15 Thread S
I understand well now the situation with the aircraft wood suppliers. I may try
first to get decent Douglas Fir select lumber that I will test myself. If I
fail to get what I expect, I will order from Wicks or Aircraft Spruce Canada.
Thanks to all !

KR> Piston Rings

2016-01-15 Thread Rodger Nicolls
Bob,
For O-290 rings, try Engine Components International,
1-800-ECi-2FLY(1-800-324-2359), 210-820-8101 www.eci.aero. Or try
www.aeroinstock.com. There are also some airboaters in Florida still using
the O-290. Try a search on the internet for that one.
For the engine mount bushings I ordered the polyurethane bushings from
Revmaster. A set of 8 bushings for $40!

Best of luck!

Bob,

Aircraft Spruce and Speciality will probably have both parts as suggested.

Great Plains Aircraft Supply carries the rubber Lycoming engine mount bushings
as well.

If you get "Trade-a-plane" there are lots of places to get rings. Never had a
problem finding any thing needed for engines or airframes in 45 years of
working on aircraft.Last time I ordered bushings, I think I used Chief.?Gary
Hinkle. ?KR2 N46778. 1978 vintage

KR> Supplier of aircraft wood

2016-01-15 Thread Chris Gardiner
Stefan
There really isn't any other aircraft quality wood sources here in Canada these
days as wood is less popular than it once was.
I used Aircraft Spruce who has a CDN store at Brantford airport.

Just got mine from Todd's last month and it's fantastic. I have not detected
any optical problems. Very clear. I opted for the tinted version. I'm very
happy with the quality and workmanship.? Be patient with your order. Todd
always busy.
