KR> Plans

2008-10-12 Thread Brian Olson
John:

I ordered plans a little over 2 months ago. They arrived about 3 weeks
after I placed my order. I sent a certified check with the order, so that
may have sped things along. Be patient, RR will get them to you.

KR> Loop De Loop

2008-10-12 Thread Brian Olson
Folks:

I have a copy of it ... just need to figure out a way to get it to the
group. Figure attaching it isn't such a good idea. It shows two pilots
doing a steep climb, then abrupt pushover to 0g for a few seconds. Poor
dog, but I laugh every time I watch it.

Open to suggestions on how to distribute it ...

KR> New Daylight Pics

2008-10-12 Thread Brian Olson
Fantastic, Dan - a fine looking a/c.

Question for you ... in your photos of the canopy construction, you noted
that there was some crazing in the Lexan on the frontal portion of the
windscreen after a few months. Did you end up replacing that section
eventually (and if so, with a different material?) or did you leave it?
Your solution with the combination cold-formed Lexan plus the R/R canopy
seems like a good approach for increased headroom.

KR> Windshield

2008-10-12 Thread Brian Olson
Dan:

As beautiful as it turned out, I'll heed your guidance. When I get to the
point of thinking about a canopy, I'll open up my Heinekens and my checkbook
for a pre-made beast.

Thanks, and I look forward to seeing your flight report in the coming days.

KR> The plans have arrived!

2008-10-12 Thread Brian Olson
Possibly insignificant news to some, but an important step for me - a set of
KR2S plans were waiting for me on the kitchen counter when I got home from work
this evening. They even had that "new plans" smell!
