Odd in what way? Planform, cross-section?

that would be cross-section. I had a drawing inserted, but I guess they
don't come through. Odd being not symmetrical top and bottom.

Re: KR> Trim Tabs

2017-06-22 Thread Gary via KRnet
On the subject of trim, how do you trim for heavy wing? Hands off stick and
plane banks right (pretty significant). Does trim tab on aileron work like an
elevator trim? Or does wing trim need to go on fixed part of wing rather than
movable aileron which might just be offset by opposite side?

KR> Carb heat...

2017-06-10 Thread Gary via KRnet
I'm having problem attaining full power/rpm on takeoff. Just changed to
this style of heat box:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/hmarzng2n3l9ijz/IMG_0624.JPG?dl=0

Anyone have a similar heat box on a Cont. O-200? What is the size of
the air inlet on your heat box if you have this set up? Notice I have a
90 degree elbow in the fuel line at the carburetor inlet. Might that be
a problem?

Thanks,

Confession timeI probably built my elevator a little larger than
need to be. It seems to be very sensitive in pitch to stick movement
and of course it gets worse the faster you go. I have already taken
some of the travel/leverage out. From the standard KR2 (stretched
fuselage 14 inches) plans, what has been the experience with elevator
size and pitch sensitivity? Should I just make the elevator exactly to
plan size? What are your trailing edges like? (Blunt, round, sharp?)
Have you experienced any difference?

Leave access to bolts to remove wings and inspection.

KR> wheel alignment

2017-01-26 Thread Gary via KRnet
Does anyone know of archive information or wish to share regarding wheel
alignment for KR tail wheel configurations?

Wheels straight, toe in or out? (In level attitude or all wheels
down.) And what about camber?

How is the handling for width of wheel base vs. length from mains to tail?

According to Bingelis, which ever school of thought you use, make it the
same on both sides. So what are the thoughts for the KR?
