I am seriously looking into building a KR and need some info. I would like to build it in sections, and I am wondering if the beginning kit is just the wood kit. Do I need anything else to get started. I hear that the would kit takes a while to build anyways, so I would be happy with that. (if thats the case). I havn't bought my plans yet as I have been deciding on a kit plane for a few months now and being a aircraft mechanic working on military helicopters, I have been really busy. But now things are slowing down, I am ready to get started.
I guess my real question is, how much is it going to cost after I buy my plans to get started construction. I plan to spare no expense, but will need to buy and save, buy and save. (haha) Any help would be greatly appreciated!! OK - so I am placing the order now, but how much T-88 should I buy? According to the fly-kr site, the T-88 costs 26 bucks. The closest I can find to being correct is a pint for $22 from Aircraft Spruce. I assume that is the correct amount? Am I wrong? Also - before I do it, I just wanted to make sure this is correct - Aircraft Spruce has two wood kits, but interestingly enough - the KR2S spruce kit is cheaper than the KR2 spruce kit. Is this a mistake?
