Check Craig's list for Columbus Ohio. The guy who just sold me some stuff has placed the landing gear including nose wheel wheels/tires brakes from the exp that he is parting out. Looks like a good deal. Could be wrong but I think he has it all listed for $500.00 He also has a complete spinner listed. KR> Deals
Well, I wouldn't say that my recent deal was huge but do feel that the seller gave me very fair pricing. He inherited a single place experimental with no papers and had not been flown for some time. Rather than deal with problems of Getting ownership transferred he decided to part It out. He sold me the 1500cc VW engine with carb, carb heat and cable, exhaust, oil cooler for 350 then sold me the whole instrument panel with altimeter, air speed, compass, oil pressure, oil temp, CHT, tach and the 9gal header tank for 325. Not sure if a 1500cc will work out on the KR2s but should be a good one for my KR1 project. Bob Boyd Frazeysburg Oh Sent from my iPhone

KR> Project for sale
Not sure if this made it through the first time. If so then I'm sorry the added traffic on the site. Ok guys, the first one to jump on this one is going to get one heck of a deal. A friend has decided that age is catching up so he is selling his KR2 project. The fuselage is in boat stage, the tail looks pretty much done, elevator and rudder controls done landing gear, wheels and tires installed, I think he has a fiberglass seat, spars are done, the top of both outer wings have foam installed and sanded you just need to install the foam on the under side, he will also throw in a few miscellaneous things like a roll of fiberglass and I'm not sure what else. His craftsmanship on this is super. He appears to have done things right. If you are looking for a really good project then this one will give you a great head start. A lot has been done. He is only asking $1,700.00. He has a lot more in it and if you ask me this is a good deal. If you are interested please contact him direct. KR> wing length
Craig, boy am I glad to hear that I'm not the only one determined to go the LSA route. My spars are done so my thoughts are to make up a few more WAFs and a couple of 18" spars. I did receive some great advice from Mark L. One of which is to not call it anything but a KR which is good advice. The FAA knows the KR specs too well. I'm leaning towards "The Bennett Special" for he is the original owner/builder who put so much into it. Oh we'll keep building everyone and remember, If lift>weight and thrust> drag then "IT SHOULD FLY" Bob in Frazeysburg Oh Sent from my iPhone On Sep 21, 2013, at 3:53, Craig Williams wrote: > I am doing that but all my increase is from new laminated center spars.
