The stock Diehl gear fittings are 45 degrees down at the top fitting
and 45 degrees up at the bottom fitting to place the axle parallel to
the spar. Depending on the flexibility of the gear leg and the
expected gross weight, you may want to add a couple degrees of camber
to the bottom fitting (top of wheel out, bottom of wheel in) to
bring the wheel to vertical under load. You can use a small wedge or
just a washer under the fitting on the top attach bolts.
Then there is the endless discussion of "toe in - toe out". I'm
convinced "zero toe in - toe out" is best for good ground handling
and least tire wear. Others will argue different but with 600+ hours
of experience I couldn't be happier with the ground handling of my KR.

I also prefer a rather tight cable for tailwheel steering. My ground
handling in three point attitude is as comfortable and responsive as
any tri-gear I've flown.
