I too had a old 1835 HAPI engine on my KR-1 with 500hrs on it when I replaced the alternator last summer. I too found the same Scary Looking elongated holes on my flywheel! In retrospect, I was really glad the alternator failed!!! Anyone know which I have. > I believe I have the same mount which I bought from Hapi. The dimensions check with mine. The only dimension that I could not measure accurately was the 10 1/2 inch between the lower mounts as my alternator and starter are in the way. Just for further identifications: There is a tube between the lower engine mount on the pilot side and the lower firewall mount on the co-pilot side. Upper engine mount each have one tube welded Upper engine mount, both sides have one tube welded. Left bottom engine has three tubes welded on it; Bottom right engine mount has two tubes welded on it. Upper *Firewall* mounts have two tubes each.. Lower *Firewall* mounts - left one tube, right two tubes. And now what you have been waiting for!! It is for a Hapi Engine: 75-DEH Magnum 1915 cc 75hp @ 3400 rpm Dual Electronic Ignition Hydraulic Valve Lifters Alternator 45 Amps. Note: DEH obviously stands for Dual, Electronic, Hydraulic. Hope this helps. Sorry for late reply but vacation came between then and now. Regards, Louis Louis Staalberg Payson, AZ n...@cbiwireless.com

Can someone explain the difference between the different mounts, or are there any engine mount photo's around to what a Hapi is?? My mount is off ?? Revmaster engine ?? Phillip, In my blue construction manual, Page 98 there is a drawing of an engine mount with dimensions. I have two engine mounts for my project and neither one of them are the same dimensions as what is in the book. The one illustrated in the manual measures; top horizontal width = 7 3/4" bottom horizontal width = 8 1/4", the vertical distance is 8 3/4". The great plains engine mount I have, which bolts up to the Diehl accessory case is rectangular, 9 1/2" horizontal and 11" vertical. the other mount I have is narrow at the top and wider at the bottom, width at top is 6 3/4", width at bottom 10 1/2" ; the vertical distance is approximately 11 3/8". Both of the engine mounts I have use the same bolt pattern through the firewall. I believe this last one is a HAPI mount. Hope this helps a little. KR> Hapi Engine Mount
>Does anyone out there have a Hapi engine mount they would like to sell? I >am gathering components for an 0200 upgrade. >Steve Glover +++ Steve, I used a HAPI mount for my 0-200 and with the 24" stretch on my fuselage ,and for starter clearance, I had to add some 1" spacers on the firewall. Do a weight and balance with the engine on before you do any plumbing. Also, the standard alternator would not clear the motor mount so I'm using a small (12 amp) B&C alternator. I made an even trade for mine but they are not cheap! As always, your results may vary. Larry Flesner
