Bob, OK, so I heard that we go back to the same ol place next year. I guess that is OK, but sure would be nice to see more of this great country. I saw the plaques on the gathering page, but can't see who got the awards. Sure would be nice to hear something about that. Did the judging this year include any information about how the judges came up with there decision and what they did or did not like about the planes that they judged? As soon as I get this OIL cooling thing worked out and do some serious flying, I will bring you your hat and shirt from last year. That would be a MT Vernon Gathering 2005 Hat and Shirt. They talked about a mini gathering in Cal. I did not make it back Sun either. Lost an exhaust pipe just out of Clarksville Ark. Offered one guy $100. if he would open up to weld it. Said he would not open on Sun period. Waited tell this morning went to the same shop to get it wielded ( they are the only one in town that welds stainless) Boss found out the employee would not open Sun and fired him. Told him that is why they have an after hours #. My GPS Showed 1245 miles 8.5 hrs. 6.2 gph This includes taxi time and all the fun in the air at MVN You all have got me motivated to get Les old plane fixed up. There were some really nice planes there.
