Too late, I've already formed and installed the wind screen about a year
ago. I did heat it but did so very slowly. Heated then allowed to cool then
raising temp another 10 degrees and cooling then another 10 degrees and
cooling---slowly--repeating over two days until I got what I wanted. I also
did my gull wing glass and two back windows by the same proceedure--not yet
installed. So far no crazing and no scratches. I did ruin one gullwing
passenger side glass by getting it too hot too fast. I did the slow heat
process in order to get rid of any moisture present. I also picked a couple
of days with low humidity. I didn't make a mold for this. I just made a jig
out of 1/2 inch plywood ect.. arround the preimeter of the lexan. I hung
the jigs with lexan clamped in place in the oven and started the heating
process. I have been very carefull about protecting the lexan from any
scratches but we shall see. That is why I haven't installed the gullwing and
rear glass untill after most everything is done.
