Folks I find the internet forum fine when I'm on broadband at home and I can see it has lots of advantages. Problem is in Australia that a lot of places still operate under dial up (some have only just got a telephone!!) and that is simply too slow for the forum to operate well. I vote for the current system to remain for this reason. It is also the reason why our flight plan submission system retains both dial up and internet options. Hi guys, I am still on dial-up (Broardband has been coming & going for the last few months not sure what is going on) I find the new Forum a bit unwieldy & slow sorry it is not for me. As somone suggested can the emails be sent as they are now as well as the forum, would be much appreciated. And now with the Spyware etc. being updated every few days a few minutes with dial-up can turn into 15 minutes no problem. Robin.

Net heads I have just signed up for the new forum. I have belonged to an identical forum (Whisperaircraft.com) for a while already and I find it really awkward to use. My vote will be cast in favor of the "old " existing list for sure. The only plus is that anybody registered can upload pics of their project or whatever. Just my personal opinion. It is possible that it's all in the "approach" just as in a good landing approach. If you set it up correctly you'll have a good landing. I set up the new forum to notify me when there was something posted that was of interest to me and when I go to the forum home page I can instantly see any new postings in the different catagories that are of interest to me. Now if anyone wants to contact me for some reason or if I want to contact someone else in private, I can instantly do just that. Also, when I post something to the forum and then I find, or someone else points out that I have made some kind of error, (quite possible) then in just a moment I can go back and correct it. If you want to follow a subject thread, it's all right there together. You don't have to go searching back through the archives to find it. Now, there may be problems with this forum, they may be fixable, I don't know yet but let's give it some time and testing just like you would your new plane and then come together in 6 months or a year and see how we all feel then. Personally, I'm going to use both and I would like to see all of you guy's and gal's along with your picture (or mug shot)on this forum soon. Have a great day, I already have.
