[Bug 37248] Re: AmaroK tries to play MP3 without support - Should give an error
This is definately a bug... I became quite frustrated trying to figure out why AmaroK was refusing to play MP3s and Shoutcast streams. I had thought it either a conflict with artsd or a bug in AmaroK itself, because both MP3s and Shoutcast streams worked as expected in XMMS. Eventually, I thought to try to play the MP3s in xine-ui and discovered xine-ui immediately popped up a message saying something like "MP3 VBR type (0x0) codec not recgonized"... Because of that error I eventually figured out that it was because "libxine-extracodecs" was missing. Some options to fix this issue would be to fix the dependancies for AmaroK to require libxine-extracodecs or to fix the config so that they don't include MP3 support without the libs being there (since the upstream says its a packaging issue: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124540). In the route tab, I enter the default gateway 192.168.1.1, and then click apply. 6. In the Network interfaces tab, I click on "Enable interface" and "Apply" (by the way, the "Reloading Network" window is hidden in the background). [Bug 37246] Re: Unable to browse web with Konqueror
This is hard to pin down. I have opened my bookmarks file (from Firefox) in Konqueror. When I left click on any link, I get the above error (I tried all 50). However, if I middle click on them to open in a new tab, the pages generally loaded fine, except for ebay.com, which still gave me the error. After the initial successful page load, I still get the error on any subsequent click on that page. I don't expect anyone else to be able to duplicate the problem exactly. It seems to be related to mime types (?) or mouse click interaction. In short, left clicking any link gives the error, middle clicking (or right click -> open in new tab) works for almost all sites, but not ebay.com. [Bug 37346] Re: amarok: "Update" button doesn't work either - no collection updates
Upon deactivating "Watch folders for changes" and restarting Amarok (why is this necessary?) the "Update" button becomes clickable. Clicking it, however, has no effect. I just saw that there is another problem then different architectures. The needed functionality is no longer there in the current Grub packages of Debian and Ubuntu. [Bug 16507] Re: Allow for Kubuntu Netboot
The entire point of this bug is to come up with some sensible place to put the preseed files. I don't want to simply copy them to debian-installer because then they would get out of sync with CDs; if they're copied to debian-installer, then some work needs to be done to ensure that that's the canonical source for them. [Bug 16507] Re: Allow for Kubuntu Netboot
I’ve got a solution - or rather I want to close this bug because the solution is in installation manual (appendix B.2.1. Loading the preseed file) for some time: One can add pressed/file="url" to the kernel initialization string or file named preseed.cfg in the root directory of the initrd. i386 – tested 100% I added the following to my /tftpboot/pxelinux.cfg/default: label kubuntu kernel ubuntu-installer/i386/linux append preseed/file=http:/myserver/cdrom/preseed/kubuntu.seed vga=no… Please consider adding this to http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/breezy/main/installer-i386/current/images/netboot/pxelinux.cfg/default and of course to /install/netboot/ubuntu-installer/i386/pxelinux.cfg/default on Kubuntu CDROM. The file kubuntu.seed should be added in archive.ubuntu.com to, and should be referenced in above files instead of “myserver/cdrom”. PPC Tonight I’ll try similar procedure with ma iMac and make the same changes to the yaboot.conf. I’ll post results tomorrow.
