[Bug 25938] Re: kmldonkey downloads disappearing

2006-04-02 Thread Donatas G.
OK, so I did find them finally. they started to go to one of the shared
directories, that was on another file system, therefore I did not locate those
via kfind.

I still don't know why they changed the place where they would go, and I did
not take care to have the backup of the config files, both before and after the
upgrade (I did quite a lot of experimenting with kmldonkey since then).
Therefore I cannot help with solving this problem, and since there is no one
having it (or no one has joined this bug report), I would recommend to close it
as unconfirmed.

[Bug 30317] Re: Quanta 3.5.1 crash on Dapper

2006-04-02 Thread Loïc Corbasson
As it is fixed in 3.5.2, you'll have to add the following lines in your
/etc/apt/sources.list (with your editor of choice):

deb http://kubuntu.org/packages/kde352 dapper main
deb-src http://kubuntu.org/packages/kde352 dapper main

AFAIK the 3.5.2 packages will be included in Dapper only if they are proven to
provide more bug fixes than new bugs, so helping test these packages can only
increase their chance to make it into Dapper. Nevertheless, I'm not a Kubuntu
developer, so I may be wrong about the inclusion of 3.5.2 in Dapper.

[Bug 3406] Re: can´t disable/change setting s of my touchpad with ksynaptics in breezy

2006-04-02 Thread Simon St James
Sure - this is the output with a fully up-to-date Kubuntu Dapper when
attempting to change the "tapping" mapping for the top-right of the pad:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:$ kcontrol
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:$ kcontrol: load()
kcontrol: 0
kcontrol: tapFingerChanged
kcontrol: save()
kcontrol: here?
kcontrol: switch docking on
kcontrol: ..done!

The settings seem to be "remembered" next time I visit kcontrol, but they don't
actually seem to have had any effect in that tapping the top-right of the pad
does not trigger the desired mouse button press.

[Bug 32139] Re: "Could not find mime type"

2006-04-02 Thread Graeme Hewson
Clarifying slightly, ps -ef shows this command, without quote marks:

adept -icon adept -miniicon adept -caption Adept

Running this command as root after entering "sudo bash" from the normal account
works fine; it's only when running from the KDE menu that the popup appears.

Incidentally, I believe it's a minor bug that the popup title says "Sorry -
Adept" while the body of the popup says "Could not find mime type
application/octet-stream". I think the body should say "Sorry - Adept could not
find..." while the title should just say "Adept", or something.

I'd like to complete Florian's list:

I think that kubuntu-desktop should not depend on gtk2-engines-gtk-qt. I

gtk2-engines-gtk-qt just breaks too many things.

[Bug 37341] Re: XF86AudioRaiseVolume key/action not working in kde

2006-04-02 Thread Vincenzo Di Massa
#37345 show what triggers this bug: a duplicate entry in
/etc/X11/xkb/symbols/inet for XF86AudioRaiseVolume (keymaps 175 and 176) in
logitech key bindings.
If xev is able to detect the key event even when both keycodes are mapped to
XF86AudioRaiseVolume, kde too should be able to detect that...
Maybe there are more keyboard mappings in /etc/X11/xkb/symbols/inet that map
multiple keycodes to a single XF86-key. For this reason this bug could affect

[Bug 37535] Re: Kicker requires restart to apply config changes

2006-04-02 Thread Rocco Stanzione
It first came to my attention when I was trying to hide applet handles (under
advanced options) but applies to transparency, color and background image as
well - as far as I know, all appearance-related options. I notice now, though,
that it behaves this way on one machine and not another. The only relevant
difference I can think of is that the misbehaving machine is dual-head with two
instances of KDE running. I did test, on that machine, whether my preferences
were being applied to the wrong panel or if changes to the other panel were
applied appropriately, and the answer in both cases was no.

[Bug 37657] Re: [Bug 37657] Re: Kopete Configure Crash

2006-04-02 Thread John Vifian
On Sunday 02 April 2006 9:44 pm, Kenny Duffus wrote:

I was trying to open the configuration dialog. The crash is consistent when
trying to open it from the message window, the contacts window or from the
system tray icon.

Choosing 'Settings' from the Menu-Bar and then 'Configure' causes an immediate
crash. I don't get to try to configure anything. :-(

Hope this helps,

John
