[Bug 94526] [Feisty] svgz wallpapers show no preview

2007-03-21 Thread Brian Murray
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdebase

Using a default install of Feisty Fawn daily build from 2007-03-21 and
choosing "Configure - KDesktop" after clicking on the folder to preview
desktop patterns jpg and png files will show previews but most svgz
files do not.

celtic.svgz takes a long time to preview
globe.svgz never previews
here-gear.svgz might preview but it looks all white to me
konqui.svgz might preview but it also looks all white to me
lineart.svgz previews a blue image
moon.svgz previews all black

This may be related to bug 42778 - svg thumbnail previews in konqueror
are truncated rather than scaled.

[Bug 93399] Can't set my wireless connection inactive on startup

2007-03-21 Thread Romain Henriet

I have a wireless card in my laptop but never use it. Thus, I unchecked
"Activate when the computer starts" for my wireless connection, in

[Bug 94500] kdepim is not in French?

2007-03-21 Thread Alexandre Racine
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdepim

I am currently using kontact version 1.2.3, the one that comes with Edgy.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ kontact --version
Qt: 3.3.6
KDE: 3.5.5
Kontact: 1.2.3

Looking with Synaptic, it seems to be the kdepim 4:3.5.5-0ubuntu1
package.

The problem is that in the translation, 100% of French is translated.
See here :
https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/edgy/+source/kdepim/+pots/kontact

But currently, Kontact is completely in English and my system in French.

Is this a bug? Is there another package to download that I am not aware
of? Can I test something? Will this be fix in the next version of
Ubuntu? Is there too much questions? :)

Thanks.

[Bug 94480] Re: KOrganizer fails to update for time zone change

2007-03-21 Thread Alex Lowe
** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: korganizer

I'm not sure if this is in KOrganizer itself or the timezone package
(although I've tried both America/Chicago and US/Central as
/etc/localtime and they both do the same thing).

In KOrganizer, I have among my calendars the Ubuntu Events Calendar.
It worked normally on Central Standard time (UTC-6h00), but with the update
to Daylight Savings Time (we're now UTC-5h00), KOrganizer still thinks we're on
UTC-6h00.
It works correctly after April 1, when the U.S. previously changed to
Daylight Savings Time.

- This bug is fixable by doing the following:
-
- 1. Close KOrganizer (if you use it inside Kontact, you'll need to quit
Kontact)
- 2. Change your timezone
- 3. Open KOrganizer and change your timezone to [no selection] (Settings ->
Configure Calendar ->Time & Date -> Timezone)
- 4. Quit KOrganizer
- 5. Change your timezone back to what it should be
- 6. Open KOrganizer and (if you want ) change your timezone inside it back, too
+ A temporary workaround is to set your timezone inside KOrganizer (not
+ your system-wide timezone, just the one inside KOrganizer) to an hour
+ ahead.

This could be because of the I upgraded to Feisty (just as we were going
