How does a manual workaround fix this bug? Unless somebody is subscribed to this thread or hunts around the KDE forums, they won't know about it. Chances are that even if they do, they won't wanna go through the steps to wipe their seek tables and create new ones. I don't think this should be marked invalid as it is an actual reproducible bug. Amarok 1.4.9, I cannot get Amarok to recognize or manage my iPod, even when explicitly setting the mount point. It also appears that Gnome is ignoring the System > Preferences > Preferred Applications > Multimedia Tab as it always launches rhythmbox when plugging in the iPod Video 5G. I have this set to Custom > amarok and it appears to be reflected in the gconf setup yet amarok is never launched.
