I agree for the "verify" issue.
Using nautilus burn utilities i had no problem. so it seems not related
to the drive ( Asus Quietrack)

I was not able to produce a backtrace. Kde bugtrace crashed too.

[Bug 175904] Re: Firefox-3.0 window moves to current workspace

2008-04-24 Thread Thilo Six
> close all FF

well that really does not make sense in this context

open FF on lets says workspace 4, open xchat on workspace 2 (kde) and click on
an link inside xchat.
FF moves to the current workspace.

I just tested the same with Thunderbird and Akregator - it doesn't happen from
inside those apps.
so maybe it is more xchat related... ?

[Bug 47649] Re: Landscape PDF printed as portrait (and truncated)

2008-04-24 Thread wolfgang
I can confirm this with Hardy and HP LJ 1100 - landscape option is ignored by
kpdf.
Solution: apt-get purge kpdf && apt-get install xpdf and wait for fixing,
because I cna't fix it myself.
But kpdf is much better than acroread. :-)

[Bug 175904] Re: Firefox-3.0 window moves to current workspace

2008-04-24 Thread Edwin Mons
@Emilio:
I notice I was a bit incomplete in my description in my previous posting. What
I meant to say is that this indeed happens across workspaces, but also across
monitors. If I start Firefox maximized on my second screen (mouse pointer on
that screen, patiently waiting for the window to appear), it starts on the
desired monitor, but it'll move to the first screen after about half a second,
even if my pointer is still on the second screen. The screens are both
attached to my NVidia card, configured in TwinView.

[Bug 205884] Re: mouse over an *.avi video file and konqueror crashes

2008-04-24 Thread Alexis
The problem come from the "sound overview" of the video file (when i put
my mouse over). To evit that konqueror hang out, i've just disable
"sound preview" (and i can keep "video overview", in Edition menu)...
(but now, i cannot use mouse over to listen music file's exact)..

(sorry for my poor english. Maybe "sound overview" is not the exact term
but my kubuntu is not in english)

[Bug 221529] [NEW] Hardy requires two log-ins

2008-04-24 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Binary package hint: gnome-session

I installed Kubuntu 8.04 (RC) from a CD onto a DELL laptop two days
before the April 24 release. I booted my system to the login screen,
enter my user name & password and taken to the desktop. Within 3
seconds the screen went blank and I was returned to the login screen. I
logged in a second time, returned to the desktop but this time all
worked as expected. Next, I updated a desktop from Kubuntu 7.10 to 8.04
using the web services and got the same results after the initial
bootup.
