I can confirm this bug still exists -- and I do not see how the
"credentials" message is a part of #436748. I believe these are two
different bugs.

[Bug 448407] [NEW] Remember The Milk plasma widget does not authorize or login

2009-10-10 Thread Richard Johnson
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdeplasma-addons

Release of Ubuntu: Karmic
Package Version: 4.3.2-0ubuntu1
Expected Results: RTM Plasma widget should login/auth with RTM
Actual Results: Widget just hangs, does not log in

A patch was sent from the developer alerting us of this problem. It is
due to the reason that the API was being used incorrectly for
authorization and requested that the developer change it immediately.
RTM canceled the widget from authorizing the original way. The new way
opens up a small browser window to authorize with, similar to the way
that Flickr and other online services auth with local applications.

** Affects: kdeplasma-addons (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Medium

 Status: In Progress

[Bug 447718] Re: Calendar shows only birthdays, out of Kaddresbook, of people who are born this year

2009-10-10 Thread Knut Hühne
I found my mistake,
while creating the contact i used dates such as 02/03/92
these were interpreted as 02/03/2092.
I figured out, that when I go to 2092 in the calendar theses birthdays were
shown every year.
So using 02/03/1992 works correctly.

Is it possible to extend the display size?

I ran into this bug after a fresh install of Karmic Koala followed by an

Tried the suggested workaround above, "rm rm /var/tmp/kdecache-$USER/ksycoca4".
Thereafter it was possible to start kword.
Reopened the bug since many people will be in the same situation. A fresh
install, followed by a fresh install of koffice-kde4.

[Bug 448021] [NEW] KDE interferes with mouse buttons: uses same mapping for second and third button, if second is mapped higher

2009-10-10 Thread Daniel Hahler
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdebase

Using this:
  xinput set-button-map "Kingsis Peripherals Evoluent VerticalMouse 3" 1 9 2 4
5 6 7 3 8

will result in the behavior of:
  xinput set-button-map "Kingsis Peripherals Evoluent VerticalMouse 3" 1 9 9 4
5 6 7 3 8

This means, that if the second button is mapped to 9, the third button
triggers button 9, too.

This is not visible with xinput get-button-map, but when using xev.

Also, it happens only with KDE, not when starting xterm or Gnome from
kdm.

[Bug 447929] [NEW] kwalletmanager: when being asked to open wallet, "OK" is not accepted/triggered (need to minimize dialog)

2009-10-10 Thread Daniel Hahler
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdeutils

When the KDE Wallet Manager tells me that e.g. Amarok wants to open a
wallet, I get asked for a password.

However, clicking OK or pressing Enter to confirm it does nothing.

The workaround is to minimize the password dialog, after having entered
the password and pressed Enter.

[Bug 447924] [NEW] System won't shut down with multiple sessions

2009-10-10 Thread Zaris
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace

Kubuntu 9.10 beta

On family pc we have individual accounts and we use concurrent sessions
for each. I'm not sure what component (window manager, display
manager...) causes the problem, but I can not reboot system without
using reset button. When I select shutdown or restart, I get a window
listing other sessions. When I click OK, screen goes black, then
nothing. I have to press reset button to get system booted.
