[Bug 572432] Re: Amarok freezes everytime I scan my collection
Just to further note, I have experienced no crashes, but merely very high CPU usage. Perhaps I should have noted that originally. [Bug 572432] Re: Amarok freezes everytime I scan my collection
Just filed a report with bugs.kde.org about 15 minutes ago. This bug still affects me. I did a clean fresh install yesterday, upgrading from Ubuntu 9.10 to 10.04, and instantly the Amarok/whatever bug stung me. My CPU usage is at least 30% to 50% as soon as Amarok is invoked, if not higher. Even when Amarok is closed down, the CPU usage remains consistently and indefinitely high. Other functions are somewhat affected, and my poor stupid machine heats up a bit. Thanks. -- Amarok freezes everytime I scan my collection https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/572432 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to taglib in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

[Bug 591870] [NEW] omw kontact/akonadi/kde resource is broken
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdepim I have been trying to figure out how to make everything work right. Akonadi has broken my contacts, email, and even my desktop experience (making everything run excruciatingly slow). This last go round I attempted to remove all address books from Kontact, rm -rf ~/.config/akonadi ~/.local/share/akonadi and start over. What ensued was a nightmare, with "resource" being the only thing I can use in sending emails instead of any added resources (Akonadi or otherwise). When I attempt to add an addressbook through Kontact I get a timeout on the backend. Addressbooks I add in Akonadi configuration I see in Kontact's address-book but not in Kmail. Finally I ran across the documentation suggesting I make the change in KDE's System Settings -> KDE Resources area. Why so many places to make changes? What's up with Kontact's Add Addressbook? I've been very frustrated and considered dumping Kontact for Evolution (which is nearly against my religion). I realize you mentioned the growing pains, but can we get this one knocked out? Kontact and KDE Resources need to play nice. Akonadi stuff should not show up in Kontact without being accessible in *all* of Kontact. I really do appreciate all the work that the Kubuntu and KDE folks are doing, but I needed to share my angst. Sorry. Hopefully it can help make a better product. :) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: kontact 4:4.4.2-0ubuntu5 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-22.33-generic 2.6.32.11+drm33.2 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-22-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: wl nvidia Architecture: amd64 Date: Wed Jun 9 13:37:23 2010 EcryptfsInUse: Yes InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release amd64 (20091027) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE= PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: kdepim ** Affects: kdepim (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug lucid -- omw kontact/akonadi/kde resource is broken https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/591870 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdepim in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 591866] [NEW] /org/soprano/Server/models/main not found in dbus while nepomuk indexes
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdebase If I start nepomuk server in a terminal I get spammed with a message similar to this: [/usr/bin/nepomukservicestub] "/usr/bin/nepomukservicestub(18778)" Error in thread 140311163860752 : "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownObject - No such object path '/org/soprano/Server/models/main'" where the process 18778 is /usr/bin/nepomukservicestub nepomukstrigiservice. This doesn't seem to strongly disrupt nepomuk but at least causes the .xsession-errors file to grow to several tens of megabytes. Please consider investigating the cause for this message as it might be a serious bug in nepomuk/strigi and it has a stronh influence in the performance of the desktop and battery life in laptops. ** Affects: kdebase (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- /org/soprano/Server/models/main not found in dbus while nepomuk indexes https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/591866 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdebase in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

[Bug 591697] [NEW] Network totals overflow at 4GB in 32-bit System Monitor
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: libplasma-applet-system-monitor4 This is of low importance. A minor annoyance at worst. For the 32-bit release of 10.04 only, in the System Monitor, in the libplasma-applet-system-monitor4 package. lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Release:10.04 apt-cache policy libplasma-applet-system-monitor4 libplasma-applet-system-monitor4: Installed: (none) Candidate: 4:4.4.2-0ubuntu14 Version table: 4:4.4.2-0ubuntu14 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/main Packages When using the System Monitor to watch the download of a large amount of data, I notice that the 'Total Received' field overflows every 4GB or so.
