[Bug 891946] [NEW] taglib: FLAC stream corrupted

2011-11-18 Thread ekpyrosis
Public bug reported:

Hi,
Running the collection scanner in Amarok gives the following error:

kmimetype filetype guessing failed for /home/bloem/Media/Music/Thievery
Corporation/Thievery Corporation - Modular Systems/Modular Systems.txt
TagLib: MPEG::Header::parse() -- Invalid sample rate.
TagLib: MPEG::Header::parse() -- Invalid sample rate.

TagLib: FLAC::File::scan() -- FLAC stream not found
TagLib: FLAC::File::scan() -- FLAC stream not found
TagLib: FLAC::File::scan() -- FLAC stream not found
TagLib: FLAC::File::scan() -- FLAC stream corrupted

As can be seen, TagLib now hangs on a txt file (Modular Systems.txt ),
but in other occasions it hangs on mp3 files or pdf's. All with the same
error report: FLAC stream corrupted.

System: Kubuntu 11.10 (clean install, re-use of home directory)
Taglib: 1.7

Kind regards,

Ekpyrosis

I believe this is the package containing KDE Plasmoids.
The specific plasmoid relevant to this bug is Battery Time Remaining, here's

** Package changed: ubuntu = kde-workspace (Ubuntu)

[Bug 758592] Re: KPackageKit fails to obtain authentication

2011-11-18 Thread paai
None of the solutions offered above did work. Things are as before: I
cannot do anything from the System Settings that need a certain
authenticiation. E.g. I can change my printer settings, but not install
new software. Even trying to change the time gives Unable to
authenticate/execute the action: 4,

Thank god, I can do most things as root or sudo from the commandline,
but some other things I need to do from System Settings, and that does
not work.

As I am not the only one, I wonder what the Kunbutu guys are doing with
these reports.
