[Bug 1377497] Re: Unable to unlock guest seesion in Kubuntu 14.04
Of course, one route would be to modify the screensaver(s) used in Kubuntu so they honor the just mentioned gsettings value. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1377497 Title: Unable to unlock guest seesion in Kubuntu 14.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lightdm/+bug/1377497/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1369424]
(In reply to Christoph Feck from comment #2) Reproducible with 4.14.1 and LibreOffice 4.3.2.2. When right-clicking the file, use Open With LibreOffice Calc, not Writer. LibreOffice demands attention, though, at least the panel unhides. It looks like Unity catches the new dialog on the minimized window, and forces a restore. Should be solvable with a KWin script, e.g. workspace.clientAdded.connect(function(client) { client.minimized = false; }); Bernard, to test KWin scripts, type this in Konsole: qdbus org.kde.plasma-desktop /MainApplication showInteractiveKWinConsole Then an Editor/Output window appears. Paste the above 3-line script there, and click Execute. Then try to reproduce again. Tested and confirmed that workaround fixes the bug This also seems to work around the issue where opening new libreoffice program windows would open in the background/minimised. Thomas might provide an improved and installable version. [Bug 1370416] Re: Security updates are not marked as security
@xor Hi, my theory is it's probably not possible for the apt and its front-ends to determine which update was security update after the update has been moved to -updates channel(until the developers decided to change the 'move-to-updates' policy), I suggest you to upgrade all packages no matter it is from -updates channel or -security channel to keep your system safe, for my system I setup upgrade all packages from all channels(except -proposed) automatically in background using the unattended-upgrade mechanism and currently, hasn't encountered any problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to muon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1370416 Title: Security updates are not marked as security To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/aptitude/+bug/1370416/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

More and more computers are shipped with fingerprint readers, and logging in with username + fingerprint makes little sense as the fingerprint is both unique and secure, and as such, the KDM should from a usability point of view be able to identify and log the user in with one single swipe - no mouse or key clicked. If for nothing else, consider it from a usability point of view. Thanks.
