[Bug 1174303] Re: ubiquity crashes during installation if I change the keyboard layout on the language of German to Switzerland.

2015-06-21 Thread Hans Joachim Desserud
A installation from scratch with kubuntu-15.04-desktop-amd64.iso for
country switzerland crashes again.

Ok, thanks for checking. Then we know that 15.04 is affected at least.

The fix for bug 1182784 is supposed to be in a newer version of
Ubiquity. Strictly speaking, that is available in -updates in 15.04,
though I don't believe the isos have been updated since the original
release. So I think that would still have the bug anyways.

However, I tried with a daily snapshot of kubuntu wily werewolf, from
[2]. This iso contained ubiquity 2.21.27 which is supposed to contain
the fix. With that, I did not get a crash when selecting Switzerland in
the drop-down menu. Could someone please double-check that it is no
longer possible to trigger the crash? If so, it would mean that the
issue is fixed for the upcoming 15.10.

(In addition to the daily build mentioned, the first alpha is supposed
to be released shortly[3]. It mentions for opt-in flavors, though I'm
not sure whether this includes Kubuntu or not)

[Bug 1460545] Re: Packages for KDE4.14.3 are not ready

2015-06-21 Thread Kornel Jankowski
There is an even stronger need for fresher Qt being packaged, as for now
Kubuntu is simply UNUSABLE e.g. on multi-monitor setups (notorious
crashes during connections/disconnections etc.). This has already been
fixed upstream so it'd be really nice to see Kubuntu back on its legs by
now.

[Bug 52454]

2015-06-21 Thread Steven Roose
I currently get prompts all over when using SmartGit. I just use SSH
keys with a passphrase, but every time (even on fetches), KWallet
prompts and afterwards the SSH key password is prompted. It's getting
pretty tiresome.
