[Bug 1468721] Re: muon updater unresponsive after cancel

2015-06-25 Thread Gil Gamesh
** Description changed:

If I click Install updates and then click Cancel at the password
- prompt, muon stays in a state of waiting for authentication and I have
- to exit the program and then re-open it.
+ prompt, the Install updates button is no longer responsive and I have
+ to exit the program and then re-open it. On one occasion, when testing,
+ the program stayed in the Waiting for authentication state and had to
+ be xkilled.

I would expect the program to return to the same state as when it is
first opened - the user may have clicked Cancel simply to check
something about one of the packages to be updated - and to be ready to
  proceed again with the update.

[Bug 1468965] [NEW] sdsdot is buggy in LTS 12

2015-06-25 Thread Carter Schonwald
Public bug reported:

the sdsdot function in CBLAS in ubuntu lts 12 precise (and perhaps in
newer ubuntu versions) is buggy

I am mentoring a google summer of code student who's contributing to my haskell
blas and lapack binding, and in the course of writing basic unit tests the
student has noticed this bug in two different linux distros!
https://github.com/wellposed/hblas/pull/34

the students full report for Arch can be found here
https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/45325

it seems ubuntu distros have the same bug
