This bug was fixed in the package cmake - 3.5.0-1ubuntu3

---
cmake (3.5.0-1ubuntu3) xenial; urgency=medium

  * Fix FindPkgModules.cmake (LP: #1563548)
seems that a typo was preventing the correct internal variables from being
set.

[Bug 1563580] Re: please merge cmake from debian

2016-03-29 Thread Steve Langasek
Have reviewed this and am satisfied that this is correct, and 3.5.1
looks to be a better choice than 3.5.0 for release. Per discussion on
IRC, it looks like we're waiting for 3.5.0-1ubuntu3 to migrate first;
once this is done I'm happy to sponsor this upload.

[Bug 1563548] Re: CMake 3.5's pkg-config support broken

2016-03-29 Thread LocutusOfBorg
the package is building on my ppa
https://launchpad.net/~costamagnagianfranco/+archive/ubuntu
/costamagnagianfranco-ppa

BTW I honestly think this was a typo in the set variable.
Probably a change like
+-  _pkgconfig_set("${_pkg_check_modules_pkg}_${variable}"
"${${_pkg_check_modules_pkg}_${variable}}")
++ _pkgconfig_set("${_pkg_check_prefix}_${variable}"
"${${_pkg_check_prefix}_${variable}}")

is already enough.
Having them both results in something like:

GLIB2_INCLUDEDIR:INTERNAL=/usr/include
GLIB2_LIBDIR:INTERNAL=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu
GLIB2_PREFIX:INTERNAL=/usr

and

glib-2.0_INCLUDEDIR:INTERNAL=/usr/include
glib-2.0_LIBDIR:INTERNAL=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu
glib-2.0_PREFIX:INTERNAL=/usr

I think we could have just the former version.

Just confirming that the 3.5.0-1ubuntu2 upload doesn't help
unfortunately.

Note cmake-extras needs to be rebuilt again (no-change) if cmake will
get reverted (yes, we need to come up with some better packaging there -
at least appropriately versioned dependencies on cmake).

[Bug 1563548] Re: CMake 3.5's pkg-config support broken

2016-03-29 Thread Steve Langasek
This is fallout from a post-beta merge of a new upstream version of
cmake.

A feature freeze exception of a core build tool is altogether
unreasonable. When it introduces regressions, it is unacceptable.

I have communicated to Michał and Gianfranco on IRC that if this issue
is not resolved by my end of day, I intend to revert the merge, which
clearly did not receive adequate testing.

Great, can you confirm that cacti as currently packaged in 16.04
(universe) (0.8.8f+ds1-4ubuntu2) works correctly upon installation,
then? It should have all the above changes.

I did some testing and it seems that the (int) cast, mysqli change and
the cacti.conf apache change are the things required to get this to work
with php7.0.

This bug was fixed in the package cmake - 3.5.0-1ubuntu1

---
cmake (3.5.0-1ubuntu1) xenial; urgency=medium

  * Merge from Debian unstable (LP: #1534263). Remaining changes:
- debian/patches/ubuntu_cmake-crosscompile.patch:
  help cmake to find libraries in multiarch path
  xnox says this is not yet ready to go upstream but he will work on it
- debian/patches/ubuntu_boost-multiarch.patch
  find boost and python in multiarch path
  this is a candidate for removal but needs rdepend testing

cmake (3.5.0-1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * New upstream release.
- Fixes fltk_wrap_ui segmentation fault. (Closes: #809535)
  * Pass correct buildsystem to dh_auto_test, fixes FTBFS. (Closes: #818040)
  * Change Vcs-* and Homepage to https URLs.
  * Migrate to dbgsym debug package.

  * Stop hardcoding the major version in cmake-data.install.
  * Remove upgrade maintainer scripts from before wheezy.

cmake (3.3.2-2) unstable; urgency=medium

  * Search for Python 3.5 and 3.6. (Closes: #802826)
- Add FindPython_Add_versions_3.5_and_3.6.patch
  * Add tighter build-depends on dpkg-dev and debhelper for Build-Profiles
support.

cmake (3.3.2-1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * Upload to unstable.
  * New upstream release.
  * Drop Debian menu entries.

  * Add a stage1 build profile that disables building cmake-qt-gui.
(Closes: #738161)
  * Add autopkgtests which run the upstream testsuite against the system cmake.
  * Add support for x32 in FindJNI. (Closes: #792262)
- FindJNI-Add-support-for-x32-architecture-on-Linux.patch

cmake (3.3.1-1) experimental; urgency=medium

  * New upstream release.
- Fixes bashism in Modules/Squish4RunTestCase.sh. (Closes: #772218)
  * Drop patches that have been applied upstream:
- cpack-doc-typo.patch
- protect-tests-from-makeflags.patch
- custom-sphinx-flags.patch
- fix-mips-endian.patch

[Bug 1338973] Re: scrolling unusable, touchpad too sensitive

2016-03-29 Thread Scarlett Clark
We do not support openSuSe sorry.

What I need is for someone on *trusty* to enable kubuntu backports update and
tell me if the problem still exists.
Thanks,
Scarlett

[Bug 1534263] Re: [FFe] [merge request] Import cmake-3.5 series to Ubuntu Xenial 16.04LTS

2016-03-29 Thread Jose Luis Rivero
You are right guys, I've reviewed the patches but missed the added file
inside the debian directory, it is used by the patch 'ubuntu_cmake-
crosscompile.patch' and we probably did not get it in our massive
rebuild because we did not run a cross compilation. Sorry about that.

I'm updating the version on my PPA right now.

2016-03-29 Thread Bugreps
I can also confirm the bug on openSUSE tumbleweed (plasma 5.5.5). Igor's
command fixes it from the terminal.

[Bug 1558410] Re: Kubuntu 16.04 Daily Build Boot Stops at Desktop Folder

2016-03-29 Thread Phillip Susi
I am not able to reproduce this, are you? If I don't touch anything to
make the boot menu show, it boots up anyway and then you get the
ubiquity welcome screen asking to choose your language and whether to
try or install ubuntu.

[Bug 1534263] Re: [FFe] [merge request] Import cmake-3.5 series to Ubuntu Xenial 16.04LTS

2016-03-29 Thread LocutusOfBorg
when I did the work some releases ago, the patch was needed, but this
makes some packages build successfully in Ubuntu but not in Debian

(going just with my memory) something like this one
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=807763 had this issue.

The above package should be in xenial, so if it builds with the new
cmake it might mean the patch is useless now.

(I might be wrong, never looked at 3.5 code, and I'm not sure the delta
causing the issue is the above mentioned patch, however in the bug
report I did some checks and found the reason of the breakage. You might
save some time by reading it)

Sounds OK to me, FFE approved (assuming that this does not bump SONAME).
