[Bug 1826917] Re: login loop screen in ubuntu 16.04 and 18.04
This isn't a bug against Launchpad itself (that is, the launchpad.net website). I'm marking this as public since there's no confidential information in the screenshot, since you already opened the public question https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/680541 about the same thing, and since unnecessarily marking a bug as private greatly decreases the chance of anyone seeing it and helping you. >From the screenshot, it looks like it might be a problem with kwallet- pam, so reassigning there. ** Information type changed from Private Security to Public ** Project changed: launchpad => kwallet-pam (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kwallet-pam in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1826917 Title: login loop screen in ubuntu 16.04 and 18.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kwallet-pam/+bug/1826917/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1325801] Re: failed to boot from USB disk with error: gfxboot.c32: not a COM32R Image boot:
** Summary changed: - Buy Soma Online Conveniently and Safely + failed to boot from USB disk with error: gfxboot.c32: not a COM32R Image boot: ** Description changed: [Impact] It is common to use usb-creator to write new USB devices with a version of Ubuntu which will then be used to upgrade or proceed with a new installation. In some cases, when using a specific match of versions of Ubuntu with an incompatible syslinux, the resulting USB device will show errors and not display the splash menu to use to select between Live and Install mode, or enabling extra options. This patch fixes this incompatibility by always using the syslinux version provided on the ISO image being used to write the USB device; which would always be compatible with the system to install if it's available. - - - https://usapillspharma.com/ [Test Case] 1- Use usb-creator to write a new USB device with a version of Ubuntu with a different syslinux: Precise: use 13.10 or later. Trusty: use 13.04 or earlier. Utopic: use 13.04 or earlier. 2- Boot on the USB, verify that the splash screen is shown and that you can get into a live session. [Regression Potential] This may yield cases in which the written USB device may be unbootable, due to having written syslinux data to the boot sector incompatible with the version of Ubuntu to be installed. USB devices may also be bootable but not show the splash screen and menu. -- 系统:UK 14.10 6-2 dailybuild 32 位 机器型号:dell Inspiron-560s 现象:用U盘制作启动盘,不能启动,提示信息:gfxboot.c32: not a COM32R Image boot: 见附件图片 this bug is similar with Bug #645818, but we cannot confirm whether they are the same. [Bug 1647204] Re: 1.8.0-2 FTBFS in zesty 17.04
Sounds like the problem is that this build leaves processes hanging around from its tests. Unfortunately this currently causes builds to hang, basically because launchpad-buildd uses sbuild's sudo mode rather than its schroot mode. So the hang is a known bug in launchpad-buildd, but it should still be possible to fix this: make sure that the test suite cleans up all its processes on exit, which is something that should be actionable with a bit of care. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1647204 Title: 1.8.0-2 FTBFS in zesty 17.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gpgme1.0/+bug/1647204/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

No, the only reason I mentioned that is that that's the only way that the installer could really become involved. [Bug 48585] Re: Dapper Drake Installer crashed
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 43125 *** BobBlum, please file a new bug and use the "Add Attachment" link on the web page after filing the bug to attach /var/log/installer/syslog, /var/log/syslog, and /var/log/partman. It is not always easy to tell Ubiquity bugs apart just from the backtrace if you aren't used to the code, but I can guarantee you that that code has changed quite significantly and in particular the code in the traceback shown in this bug no longer reads as above and therefore you cannot possibly be getting the same traceback with Dapper final. -- Dapper Drake Installer crashed https://launchpad.net/bugs/48585 -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

(If this was a Ubiquity installation, then it's a known issue that we didn't have time to fix before release, but that's easy to fix for Edgy. [Bug 35140] Re: Hard Crash During pcmcia-cs Installation
There's a fix for this in dapper-updates now: pcmcia-cs (3.2.8-5.2ubuntu6) dapper-updates; urgency=critical * Don't start pcmcia-cs after upgrading from breezy, as the start script can hang breezy machines on occasion. -- Scott James Remnant <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Wed, 31 May 2006 16:33:19 +0100 We recommend that upgraders include dapper-updates in /etc/apt/sources.list while upgrading. With regard to making pcmcia-cs no longer an indirect dependency of ubuntu-desktop, we'd like to, but unfortunately it's a little complicated (and in any case it wouldn't help with this bug because pcmcia-cs was an indirect dependency of ubuntu-desktop in Breezy too). ** Changed in: linux-source-2.6.15 (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Fix Released -- Hard Crash During pcmcia-cs Installation https://launchpad.net/bugs/35140 -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
