[Bug 75127] Re: The module Disk and Filesystems could not be loaded error msg

2007-12-02 Thread Henrik Nilsen Omma
Hi, could you please check if you have a crash dump file in /var/crash
for this event?

If so you can run '/usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-
file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' to have it retraced and filed.

[Bug 149818] Re: kmail doesn't respect cursor position in templates

2007-12-02 Thread Henrik Nilsen Omma
This bug was nominated for Gutsy but does currently not qualify for a 7.10
stable release update (SRU) and the nomination is therefore declined.
According the the SRU policy, the fix should already be deployed and tested in
the current development version before an update to the stable releases will be
considered. With 7.10 now released, that policy applies to this bug. See:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates .
The bug is not being closed as work will continue on fixing it for the next
release, Hardy Heron (8.04). If the state of this bug should change such that
it qualifies for the SRU process, please contact the person who originally
declined it and ask them to re-evaluate it. To help improve the state of this
bug see: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/HowToTriage .

Hi. Thanks for reporting. Does this happen on every search or just
selected searches? Please try running KFind from a terminal and report
any output you see. Thanks.

[Bug 39679] Re: kubuntu-desktop install mangles the gnome theme

2006-04-15 Thread Henrik Nilsen Omma
Uninstalling gtk2-engines-gtk-qt reverts the behaviour, as expected. However, I
think it would be better to ask the user if this is what he/she because it
makes the gnome system seem broken. Ideally, the gtk apps should get the KDE
look when run from KDE but not when run in gnome.

[Bug 39679] kubuntu-desktop install mangles the gnome theme

2006-04-15 Thread Henrik Nilsen Omma
Public bug reported:

Affects: kubuntu-meta (Ubuntu)
   Severity: Normal
   Priority: (none set)
 Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
I have a fairly standard dapper ubuntu install. I decided to to install
kubuntu-desktop to have a look (looks nice btw). However, doing so
caused the gnome default setup (Human theme, etc.) to be largely
hijacked by the default kubuntu one, including icons, widgets and menu
highlights. Konqueror is now the default browser, etc. Some apps like
Firefox and Nautilus are affected but others like Synaptic are not.

So I understand that kubuntu-desktop is a meta-package that not only
installs the kubuntu software but also sets the various kubuntu artwork
defaults. The 'right thing to do' might have been to install various KDE
applications directly without installing kubuntu-desktop, but the latter
is the easiest and many people will do just that.

FYI, I also tried to change the display settings while in kubuntu but
subsequently replaced xorg.conf with an older copy.

It seems this item is a wish for improved functionality of the live CD, so I'm
re-assigning it there. The solution may require a policy decision.
