[Bug 1872838] Re: Network connections theming problem

2024-01-17 Thread Kenneth Hanson
The problem appears to be fixed as of Kubuntu 23.04. I do not know how
to close the bug report -- none of the "status" options seem relevant.

[Bug 1872800] Re: Problem with default monospace font

2022-07-12 Thread Kenneth Hanson
Thanks, Matteo. I started to look into this again, and it appears that
nothing has changed. I will try removing the symlink in
`/etc/fonts/conf.d` as a workaround. It's not even clear what the
purpose is for setting all these "preferred" fonts. As long as aliases
and default fonts are set correctly, everything should work fine.

[Bug 1872843] [NEW] Screen Locking menu language problem

2020-04-14 Thread Kenneth Hanson
Public bug reported:

In Kubuntu 20.04 (Plasma 5.18.4), in the system settings, under
Workspace Behavior > Screen Locking, on the Activation tab, there is an
option labeled "Allow unlocking without password for". The spinner box
measures time in minutes, and the minimum option (for 0) is
"immediately".

This does not make sense in the context of the current label. It would
make sense if the label was "Require password to unlock after". A
possible word that might make sense for the current label would be
"Never".

In order for this menu item to be understandable, either the label or
the word for the 0 value needs to be changed, or the word needs to be
abandoned altogether.

[Bug 1872838] [NEW] Network connections theming problem

2020-04-14 Thread Kenneth Hanson
Public bug reported:

This is a problem with the Network Connections system settings module,
accessed either through the system tray icon or KDE System Settings.

On Kubuntu 20.04 (Plasma 5.18.4), there is a theming problem, where the
borders and tool button area of the widget containing the list of
connections appears black. This clashes with the rest of the window, and
obscures the button icons, and appears to be a mistake. I have not
changed the default theme, or any settings related to theme colors.

The problem was not present in previous versions of Kubuntu, even on
Kubuntu 19.10 with the Kubuntu Backports PPA, which also has Plasma
v5.18.

[Bug 1846918] Re: Ubiquity crashes near the end of installation

2019-12-20 Thread Kenneth Hanson
Another install attempt today, resulting in the symptoms of bug 1040629.

Also, why is this bug still marked "incomplete"?

I didn't get around to testing the daily build, but I just reinstalled
the final release, and didn't notice a crash this time.
