the hdf5 fixes have been merged in yakkety, e.g. libminc, insighttookit4 and something more I don't recall. ay break clients that added escaping manually to work around the bug. * The "FindProtobuf" module input and output variables were all renamed from "PROTOBUF_" to "Protobuf_" for consistency with other find modules. Input variables of the old case will be honored if provided, and output variables of the old case are always provided. * The "CPackRPM" module now supports upper cased component names in per component CPackRPM specific variables. E.g. component named "foo" now expects component specific variable to be "CPACK_RPM_FOO_PACKAGE_NAME" while before it expected "CPACK_RPM_foo_PACKAGE_NAME". Upper cased component name part in variables is compatible with convention used for other CPack variables. For back compatibility old format of variables is still valid and preferred if both versions of variable are set, but the preferred future use is upper cased component names in variables. New variables that will be added to CPackRPM in later versions will only support upper cased component variable format. [Bug 1564741] Re: [SRU] cmake crashed with SIGSEGV in cmTarget::GetProperty()
Well, I'm not sure updating cmake to a new minor release in a stable Ubuntu LTS is worth the effort... [Bug 1596391] Re: pdal ftbfs because cmake on Ubuntu points to multi-arch directories
Hi Jeremy, I'm afraid this is the intended behaviour cmake (look at the delta) does this: https://patches.ubuntu.com/c/cmake/cmake_3.5.2-1ubuntu1.patch + if(NOT DEFINED CMAKE_INSTALL_LIBDIR) +SET(CMAKE_INSTALL_LIBDIR "lib/${CMAKE_LIBRARY_ARCHITECTURE}") + endif() and pdal does: if (DEFINED CMAKE_INSTALL_LIBDIR) set(PDAL_LIB_INSTALL_DIR "${CMAKE_INSTALL_LIBDIR}") else() set(PDAL_LIB_INSTALL_DIR "lib") endif() so, this seems to be the reason for this. what about fixing pdal to be multiarch? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to cmake in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1596391 Title: pdal ftbfs because cmake on Ubuntu points to multi-arch directories To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cmake/+bug/1596391/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1563548] Re: CMake 3.5's pkg-config support broken
the package is building on my ppa https://launchpad.net/~costamagnagianfranco/+archive/ubuntu /costamagnagianfranco-ppa BTW I honestly think this was a typo in the set variable. Probably a change like +- _pkgconfig_set("${_pkg_check_modules_pkg}_${variable}" "${${_pkg_check_modules_pkg}_${variable}}") ++ _pkgconfig_set("${_pkg_check_prefix}_${variable}" "${${_pkg_check_prefix}_${variable}}") is already enough. Having them both results in something like: GLIB2_INCLUDEDIR:INTERNAL=/usr/include GLIB2_LIBDIR:INTERNAL=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu GLIB2_PREFIX:INTERNAL=/usr and glib-2.0_INCLUDEDIR:INTERNAL=/usr/include glib-2.0_LIBDIR:INTERNAL=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu glib-2.0_PREFIX:INTERNAL=/usr I think we could have just the former version. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to cmake in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1563548 Title: CMake 3.5's pkg-config support broken To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cmake/+bug/1563548/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

when I did the work some releases ago, the patch was needed, but this makes some packages build successfully in Ubuntu but not in Debian (going just with my memory) something like this one https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=807763 had this issue. The above package should be in xenial, so if it builds with the new cmake it might mean the patch is useless now. [Bug 1357270] Re: Merge cmake 2.8.12.2-1 (main) from Debian unstable (main)
Here you are :) ** Attachment added: "debdiff-v2" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cmake/+bug/1357270/+attachment/4204607/+files/debdiff-v2 ** Description changed: attached the debdiff. This merge allows probably to drop the " * Keep Ubuntu's fix_freetype_detection.diff over Debian's fix-FindFreetype.diff" - - because of the debian patche: + because of the debian patch: "- Add fix-FindFreetype-version.diff, cherry-picked from upstream." that should fix the freetype 2.5 problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to cmake in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1357270 Title: Merge cmake 2.8.12.2-1 (main) from Debian unstable (main) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cmake/+bug/1357270/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
