[Bug 1515881] Re: Ctrl-Space no longer works

2015-11-14 Thread Richard Hansen
** Bug watch added: KDE Bug Tracking System #355362
   https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=355362

** Also affects: kde-baseapps via
   https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=355362
   Importance: Unknown
   Status: Unknown

** Description changed:

  Starting with Ubuntu 15.10, Ctrl-Space no longer works in konsole and other
Qt 5.4 apps. This is a known upstream problem, with a fix available at:

https://quickgit.kde.org/?p=konsole.git&a=commit&h=c16fc7d4671edf14c47132be0c621b08bce7dc82
+
+ EDIT:
+ The fix linked above is already in Ubuntu 15.10, so there is a different
underlying problem showing the same symptoms. I submitted a new upstream KDE
bug about this.

[Bug 1515881] Re: Ctrl-Space no longer works

2015-11-14 Thread Richard Hansen
Actually, https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=341157 is not the same
bug. The fix for that upstream bug is already in wily's version of
konsole, so this must be caused by something else.

** No longer affects: kde-baseapps

[Bug 1445811] Re: Adding alternate shortcut for action removes both primary and alternate shortcuts after restart

2015-04-28 Thread Richard Hansen
This is a regression in the version shipped with Vivid.

** Tags added: regression-release vivid

** Description changed:

- In konsole, the default keyboard shortcuts for Next Tab and Previous Tab
- are Shift+Right and Shift+Left respectively. Coming from GNOME/XFCE/GTK
- land, I'm more familiar with Ctrl+PgDown and Ctrl+PgUp. So I tried to
- add those as alternate shortcuts. Which works, but after quitting
- konsole and restarting, both the primary shortcuts and alternate
- shortcuts are unmapped (empty). (Changing just the primary shortcut
- works as expected, however.)
+ == Regression details ==
+ Discovered in version: 4:14.12.3-0ubuntu2
+ Last known good version: 4:4.14.1-0ubuntu1
+
+ == Original bug description ==

Shift+Right and Shift+Left respectively. Coming from GNOME/XFCE/GTK land, I'm

alternate shortcuts. Which works, but after quitting konsole and restarting,
both the primary shortcuts and alternate shortcuts are unmapped (empty).
(Changing just the primary shortcut works as expected, however.)

  Steps to reproduce:

  1. Launch konsole
  2. Settings -> Configure Shortcuts
  3. Add alternate custom shortcut for Next Tab (or possibly any other action),
click OK
  4. Observe that both the primary and alternate shortcuts appear to work
  5. Exit konsole
  6. Launch konsole again

  Expected results: Shortcuts should persist through relaunching konsole
  Actual results: Primary and Alternate shortcuts are unmapped (empty) after
relaunch

  I can reproduce this on the Kubuntu 15.04 Beta 2 live CD.
