[Bug 113450] [apport] konqueror crashed with SIGSEGV in KIO::DataSlave::dispatchNext()
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdebase When I use the KIO data, konqueror crashes in some cases. To reproduce : 1. In konqueror, type "data:,foobar" in the URL, and submit 2. Konqueror display a message that says that this file is binary 3. The new file is opened, with content "foobar " 4. Submit the same URL "data:,foobar" a second time 5. Konqueror crashes Notes : - When I use the following URL : "data:text/html,testCeci est une page de test", Konqueror does not crashes - In fact, the crash always happens at the call to "data:" that is following the call to "data:,foobar". [Bug 37210] Re: Network unavailable on boot
Luka, With the last up-to-date Kubuntu Dapper (6.06 LTS Beta 2), I cannot reproduce the bug : using the live-cd, the network is fully working, and after the installation on hard drive, the network is still correctly configured. So for me, everything is ok now :) Do you still need my /etc/network/interfaces file ? [Bug 37210] Re: Network unavailable on boot
Hi, sorry for the long post... Well, I have done a fresh install of Flight5: 1. at startup, the network is unavailable: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ ifconfig eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:30:1B:B1:54:79 inet6 addr: fe80::230:1bff:feb1:5479/64 Scope:Link UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:138 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:6 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:19961 (19.4 KiB) TX bytes:492 (492.0 b) Interrupt:201 loLink encap:Local Loopback inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0 inet6 addr: ::1/128 Scope:Host UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1 RX packets:3 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:3 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:0 RX bytes:172 (172.0 b) TX bytes:172 (172.0 b) [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ route Kernel IP routing table Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric RefUse Iface 2. I use System Settings > Network Settings > Administrator Mode 3. The eth0 interface is shown as Disabled, and there is no default gateway 4. If I click "Enable interface", it stays disabled (in fact, it is "Enabled" about 0.1 seconds, and then "Disabled" again ; but the "Enable interface" button is now disactivated and the "Disable interface" is acivated, unless I click again on the eth0 line) 5. In the route tab, I enter the default gateway 192.168.1.1, and then click apply. 6. In the Network interfaces tab, I click on "Enable interface" and "Apply" (by the way, the "Reloading Network" window is hidden in the background). The interface is now enabled, and I can browse the internet. 7. I reboot, and then the network is unavailable: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ ifconfig eth0 eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:30:1B:B1:54:79 inet6 addr: fe80::230:1bff:feb1:5479/64 Scope:Link UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:36 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:6 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:5531 (5.4 KiB) TX bytes:492 (492.0 b) Interrupt:201 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ route Kernel IP routing table Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric RefUse Iface 8. I check in System Settings > Network Settings, and the default gateway field is blank. If I do as in steps 5 & 6, it is ok. 9. I reboot. The network is unavailable. I enable it by typing: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.2 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo route add default gw 192.168.1.1 10. If I look in System Settings > Network Settings, everything is ok. 11. I reboot, the network is unavailable. 12. After an "apt-get dist-upgrade" and a reboot, the network is working! 13. But after the next reboot, it does exactly as before. But now, after having set the default gateway in System Settings, if I click on "Enable interface", I have the following message : "Could not change device state - KDE Control Module There was an error changing the device's state. You will have to do it manually". Hope this helps! -- Network unavailable on boot https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/37210 -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 37210] Re: Network unavailable on boot
My network card is a Broadcom 4401. Please find the output of $lspci and $lsmod hereafter. When the system starts up, the network is unavailable. Instead of using systemsettings, i manually set the route and the interface: $route add default gw 192.168.1.1 $ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.2 The network is now working. And, it is still working after the reboot (which was not the case when I used systemsettings)! I will redo a fresh install of Flight5 in order to make sure that this is reproducible on my computer.
