[Bug 1968626] Re: kioslave5 crashed with SIGSEGV in QString::endsWith()
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. [Bug 730323] Re: akonadi does not start if home dir is linked somewhere
Gunni: please do not recommend using teardown, as it disables apparmor protections for all applications that are currently confined. Use aa- complain(1) or aa-disable(1) (natty and later) to disable apparmor restrictions on a specific application (e.g. sudo aa-complain /usr/sbin /mysqld-akonadi). As Felix Geyer said, use "sudo dpkg-reconfigure apparmor" to configure apparmor to know about additional home directory locations. [Bug 540810] [NEW] kde panel does not display on 800x600 display
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace While running the live environment and the installed desktop in a virtualbox guest with a resolution of 800x600, the panel at the bottom of the screen never is displayed. See attached screenshot. Larger desktop resolutions don't reproduce the issue, but 800x600 is the maximum display for virtualbox until the guest utilities are installed. [Bug 209534] Re: install-codecs crashed with ImportError in ()
I've verified that installing the version of kaffeine currently in updates, 0.8.6-0ubuntu8.1, does not recommend python-qt4, and that the version of kaffeine in proposed, 0.8.6-0ubuntu8.1.1, does include it in recommends. I have not verified that installation of the codec is successful if python-qt4 is installed and an attempt is made to play an rvmp file . I question whether the dependency should only be recommends; as I understand it, the default for update-manager, synaptic, and apt in 8.04 is to not install recommended packages by default, so users would still see this crash if they attempted go through the codec installation process. -- install-codecs crashed with ImportError in () https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/209534 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is subscribed to kaffeine in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
