[Bug 1877832] [NEW] Error: 'exceptions.IOError' object has no attribute 'strerr'
Public bug reported: The version of kdeconnect in ubuntu 20.04 has a bug which cause the following error: Mai 10 08:59:05 x1 dbus-daemon[2457]: [session uid=1000 pid=2457] Successfully activated service 'org.gnome.Nautilus' Mai 10 08:59:05 x1 org.gnome.Nautilus[9845]: Traceback (most recent call last): Mai 10 08:59:05 x1 org.gnome.Nautilus[9845]: File "/usr/share/nautilus-python/extensions/kdeconnect-share.py", line 40, in Mai 10 08:59:05 x1 org.gnome.Nautilus[9845]: print('kdeconnect-nautilus: {0}'.format(e.strerr)) Mai 10 08:59:05 x1 org.gnome.Nautilus[9845]: AttributeError: 'exceptions.IOError' object has no attribute 'strerr' Thus, the 'ubuntu has detected a crash' popup is spammed on each reboot. The crash is caused by a wrong print statement which was fixed upstream by https://github.com/KDE/kdeconnect- kde/commit/14cdd8e2b5ffc65707f445ae818160a99273f3b7#diff- a2f4ab79cc1da25b01102744d0ed6db9 would it be possible to backport this fix? It just affects a print statement -> this shouldn't cause any regressions. ** Affects: kdeconnect (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdeconnect in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1877832 Title: Error: 'exceptions.IOError' object has no attribute 'strerr' To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdeconnect/+bug/1877832/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

[Bug 428662] [NEW] kdm crashes system on logout
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdm After logging out of a KDE or GNOME session, kdm appears to hang with a black screen (with single white cursor) and a "dead" keyboard (Ctrl- Alt-F{1..9} doesn't do anything; not even NumLock can be triggered.) If I am also remotely logged into this system via ssh, I can see that there is a kdm but no X process. It looks like kdm can't restart X after the logout (which apparently completes just fine, complete with saving the session and the logout sound.) This happens on two similar, but not identical DELL Latitude E5500 notebooks, both with Intel on-board video and running Kubuntu Karmic AMD64 with the latest updates. (Everything runs fine under Kubuntu Jaunty i386.) The problem does not occur when I use gdm instead of kdm. Please advise if you need additional debugging info.
