[Bug 1377711]

2014-12-31 Thread Vdragon
(In reply to Harald Sitter from comment #3)
Please also get a screenshot of that same window in english.
I can't regenerate the same window on this system, so I pick another
package(hime-anthy) on this case:
* Similar window when Muon is run with default LANGUAGE
environment(zh_TW:zh_HK:zh:en) (*garbled* text)
* Similar window when Muon is run with env LANGUAGE=en (english)

I am reasonable certain these are string that come out of apt-pkg, so unless
we run it through a latinstring somewhere it's probably a bug outside our
 reach.
I'm suspect there's a Unicode string being treated as latinstring here.

[Bug 1370416] Re: Security updates are not marked as security

2014-10-05 Thread Vdragon
@xor
Hi, my theory is it's probably not possible for the apt and its front-ends to
determine which update was security update after the update has been moved to
-updates channel(until the developers decided to change the 'move-to-updates'
policy), I suggest you to upgrade all packages no matter it is from -updates
channel or -security channel to keep your system safe, for my system I setup
upgrade all packages from all channels(except -proposed) automatically in
background using the unattended-upgrade mechanism and currently, hasn't
encountered any problem.

[Bug 1364173] Re: Xsession sourced scripts shouldn't be run using user's default shell

2014-09-01 Thread Vdragon
** Also affects: dummy-kdm (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided
   Status: New

** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu)
   Status: New = Invalid

** Package changed: dummy-kdm (Ubuntu) = kde-workspace (Ubuntu)

** Description changed:

- Recently I encountered a problem that my input method malfunction
+ Recently I encountered a problem that my input method malfunctions
because the environmental variables are wrongly set(but it is fully
configured using im-config), after hours of debugging I found that it's
- Z-shell(my current default shell)'s bug that prematurely quit the im-
- config input method configure Xsession.d script.
+ Z-shell(my current default shell)'s bug that prematurely quits before
+ the Xsession.d im-config input method configure script completes.

While that's another Z-shell's bug, the problem is, /etc/X11/Xsession
(and all the Xsession.d scripts it sourced) **shouldn't** run in
  Z-shell.
